This morning, a group of Lindenwood University students gave their first tour of Ideal (Dis-) Placements: Old Masters at the Pulitzer, in French. This is the fourth year that Lindenwood French students have used the Pulitzer as a way to practice their second language. The students are first given a tour in English, then French, and then they themselves give tours to high school French-learners.
Preparation, rehearsal and performance during the annual Asian Culture Night event in Anchorage, Alaska. This event was a presentation before over 2200 students from the Anchorage School District, ranging in age from 5 to 18. Having only one 30 minute rehearsal to adapt their program to the stage, the team overcame the technical challenges, the fear of performing in front of a large audience and a strict time limit, to perform near flawlessly the next day. And the audience loved them, with cheers and applause coming in through out the demonstration.
