Os mais de 50 mil contribuintes que indicaram os créditos do Nota Legal nos dois primeiros dias do programa (4 e 5 de janeiro) para abatimento no Imposto sobre a Propriedade de VeÃculos Automotores (IPVA) receberão os carnês em casa somente com a cobrança do seguro obrigatório e do licenciamento. A segunda via do tributo com o desconto do programa deverá ser retirada na internet.
Quem fez a indicação do benefÃcio do dia 6 em diante receberá o boleto sem o desconto. O contribuinte deverá desconsiderá-lo e também imprimir a segunda via no site da Secretaria de Fazenda. Os consumidores podem destinar os bônus do Nota Legal até 31 de janeiro. A partir da próxima semana, os carnês começam a chegar à casa dos consumidores.

A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket lifts off from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station carrying NASA’s Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer, or OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on the first U.S. mission to sample an asteroid, retrieve at least two ounces of surface material and return it to Earth for study. Liftoff was at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The asteroid, Bennu, may hold clues to the origin of the solar system and the source of water and organic molecules found on Earth.

The Fall 2010 Student Hackathon brought in hundreds of students from 30 universities to NYU's Courant Institute for 24 hours of creative hacking on New York City startups' APIs.
Selected startups presented their technologies at the beginning of the event, and students formed groups to brainstorm and begin coding on their ideas. Many students worked into the night, foregoing sleep to fulfill their visions.
On Sunday afternoon students presented their projects to an audience including a judging panel, which selected the final winners.
hackNY hosts hackathons one each semester, as well as a Summer Fellows Program, which pairs quantitative and computational students with startups which can demonstrate a strong mentoring environment, a problem for a student to work on, a person to mentor them, and a place for them to work. Startups selected to host a student are expected to compensate student Fellows. Students enjoy free housing together and a pedagogical lecture series to introduce them to the ins and outs of joining and founding a startup.
