The North Charleston Police Department implemented Project S.T.A.N.D (Stop and Take A New Direction) aimed at not just arresting low level narcotics dealers with little or no prior criminal history but to go a step further and help those involved in the activity change their lives for the better. This is program aimed at reducing recidivism through working on all aspects of the criminals’ lives.

This project was the focus of a Dateline NBC special entitled “Intersection” which aired on March 14, 2013.

Within our family collection of photos and memorabilias, this particular souvenir programme can be considered as one of the oldest surviving souvenir copies at hand. It is already 52 years old and still in good condition. It depicts how the simple tale of the discovery of the miraculous image came to be and how, subsequently, Pandacan was highlighted as a simple town with its own distinction and interactiveness. A 4-day-old baby boy is treated for respiratory failure with a life-saving technology called Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). He is the 1000th ECMO patient to be treated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, which houses California’s largest ECMO Program. Most importantly, thanks to the ECMO technology and a team of specialists, the baby is expected full recovery.

The Fall 2010 Student Hackathon brought in hundreds of students from 30 universities to NYU's Courant Institute for 24 hours of creative hacking on New York City startups' APIs.

Selected startups presented their technologies at the beginning of the event, and students formed groups to brainstorm and begin coding on their ideas. Many students worked into the night, foregoing sleep to fulfill their visions.

On Sunday afternoon students presented their projects to an audience including a judging panel, which selected the final winners.

hackNY hosts hackathons one each semester, as well as a Summer Fellows Program, which pairs quantitative and computational students with startups which can demonstrate a strong mentoring environment, a problem for a student to work on, a person to mentor them, and a place for them to work. Startups selected to host a student are expected to compensate student Fellows. Students enjoy free housing together and a pedagogical lecture series to introduce them to the ins and outs of joining and founding a startup.

Gala Program cover

9 x 12 in. 2 color (Red and Metallic Gold)

-The concept came from gala decoration idea of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. So I implemented a gold dragon element on red background and treated the typography in an abstract combination of: spotlight, Trajan fonts (that was in most of Hollywood posters), and chopstick.

Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston (July 15, 2014) -- U.S. Army Installation Management Command walks the talk, increasing its investment in employee development through a revitalized, year-long mentorship program, which started here today with 28 mentees paired with their 28 mentors and five senior mentors, from installations around the globe, gathered for IMCOM Headquarters Centralized Mentoring Program orientation.

With volunteered help from community, business and education partners, such as United Services Automotive Association social media team, National Basketball Association’s San Antonio Spurs organizational management team, University of Texas San Antonio career services division and U.S. Army Medical Command partners, the mentor/mentee teams spent time on team building, leadership, organizational development, defining the objectives and desired outcome of the program and general discussion about skills, career goal setting, networking, continued education, customer service and the health/work performance relationship.
