Pretty Athletic Goddess! Nikon D810 Photos Pretty Swimsuit Bikini Fitness Model Goddess: Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon Cameras!
Loved shooting the awesome Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Nikon Cameras! It was a bit tough sometimes to achieve optimum focus at F1.4 due to the shallow depth of field, but hey--not every eyelash has to be perfectly sharp! I could do it if I and the model were perfectly still, or F1.8 or F2.0 did the trick too. Kept switching it up! We had fun and she loves the photos! :)

I get asked a lot of questions (I love questions--ask away!), and one of the more common ones is "What kind of camera shoul I buy?" Begin with anything, and then, when it falls short of the beauty you are trying to capture, invest in a new one! The important thing is to think of it as buying not something for yourself, but a gift for the world, who will witness all the magnificent photos you shoot with it! Then, the next most important thing to do is to shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot! For each and every epic shot on an awesome camera helps justify its cost! I shoot with the awesome Nikon D810, Sony A7R, and now the Sony A7RII! And in the long run, the cost of the camera is a very small entity, when conpared to the cost of life and time. So buy a great camera, and then give the gift of epic photography to the world! View your artistic mission into photography as an epic odyssey of heroic poetry! Take it from Homer in Homer's Odyssey: "Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who travelled far and wide after he had sacked the famous town of Troy. I generally prefer portrait shots were there's direct eye contact with the subject but some of these shots of Ivory Flame work quite well without it as it adds to the dreamlike atmosphere.

I've a few model shoots under my belt now, both location and studio shoots, and there's still part of me that questions the creativity on my part. With these shots for example, the models brought their own outfits and for the most part posed themselves. Particularly with location shoots, even the lighting is not under my control. Essentially all I'm doing is turning up, framing the shot and pressing the shutter....... Of course you could also say that about my more normal subject of buildings........

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to attend a workshop put on by the Arizona Professional Photographer's Association at the Canyon Creek Ranch in Arizona. There were a series of workshops put on to teach us various techniques for lighting in different scenarios using all different methods of providing light. This workshop provided the models, the settings and the instructors to show us appropriate lighting for different scenarios.
This shot was from a lesson put on by one of the instructors, Bob Coates, who was demonstrating lighting using continuous LED lights and modifiers which were provided by Westcott Lighting. The model's name is Jerry Thomas. The advantages of LED lighting are that you see what you're getting in real time. The disadvantages are that the lights are not as strong as regular flashes, so you end up using higher iso's, but with today's camera sensors, higher ISO's are not so much of a problem as they used to be. In this shot a large softbox with a grid was positioned at camera left and above the model, but the participants could see what the lighting results were before taking the shot. I used NIK software's Silver Efex Pro 2 to convert my image to black and white.

These shots were taken on my first shoot with a professional model back in the Summer. The three hour booking with Ivory Flame allowed for many changes in lighting, styles of photography and a few costume changes.

Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

After looking through my work,what do you think about Nikon vs. Sony? Do you prefer the Nikon D810 and Nikkor / Tamron / Sigma lenses /glass, or the Sony A7r and Sony Sonnar Carl Zeiss e-mount glass/lenses? I love them both! And I am so excited about the Sony A7rII !

Another portrait of model Andrea from the recent #Nikon100 London #NikonMeetups fashion shoot at a fabulous location in West London ( www.shootfactory.co.uk/uk-locations/randolph-london-w9/ ).
My shots might differ from other people's as I didn't use the studio lights provided as my hotshoe was damaged and I couldn't fit the IR commander unit. As a result I had to shoot at quite a high ISO using only the available natural light, something that has added a bit of extra drama to the shots (and created a bit of a headache in post-production thanks to the extreme contrast......).
Having been selected as one of 100 photographers to take part in the Nikon Centenary celebrations the day involved five seperate themed shoots around different locations in London. All in all it was a superbly organised event and I captured a wide variety of shots, some in genres I've not much experience.

Pretty Hero's Odyssey Mythology Swimsuit Bikini Model! Greek Goddess! 45SURF goddesses are the perfect blend of Artemis, Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite! Of Venus, Minerva, and Ares, Demeter, and Nike!
All of the new Gold 45 Revolver(TM) and 45SURF(R) logos and designs are inspired by the golden number phi and divine proportion! Just as my landscapes oft employ the golden rectangle and fibonacci spiral in composition, all the bikinis, shirts, and lingerie designs are made with the golden section and gold number Phi (1.618) in mind! The golden grids, rectangles, pentagons, and spirals make a far better system for compositions than does the rule of thirds! And too, the golden mean and divine proportion are found in every model--in her pretty face and in the divine proportions of the 45surf goddess's heavenly body! I'm working on a book on all this beautitful craziness in fine art landscapes and models called The Golden Hero's Odyssey, which also ties it to my physics theory Dynamic Dimenions theory (dx4/dt=ic). :)

I'm working on an anthology of classic, epic poetry, which begins with selections from Homer's Iliad and Odyssey! :) I've replaced the Roman names with the Greek names: "RAGE, Sing, O goddess, the rage of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Greeks. Many a brave soul did it send hurrying down to Hades, and many a hero did it yield a prey to dogs and vultures, for so were the counsels of Zeus fulfilled from the day on which the son of Atreus, king of men, and great Achilles, first fell out with one another."
