Salt farming is a very difficult job with skills passed down the generations. The salt pan workers have a difficult time ahead as the entire activity is at a stand still due to the lockdown.

Rouen (France) - Lors de la manifestation contre la loi sur le recul de l'âge des retraites, j'ai eu le plaisir de retrouver des amis et anciens collègues. Angèle à la caméra et Fred au micro. J'ai fait cette photo au début de manifestation pendant une interview. Il est plus facile d'interviewer les manifestants quand ils ne marchent pas encore. Sinon le Journaliste reporter d'image (cameraman) est obligé de filmer en marchand à reculons. Un exercice difficile car les manifestants marchent souvent trop vite.
Pour la petite histoire Angèle est un peu le couteau suisse du journalisme. Elle filme comme on peut le voir sur cette photo, mais elle est aussi rédactrice et une excellente présentatrice du journal. Je n'oublie pas mon ami Fred qui est un journaliste de terrain et lui aussi, un talentueux présentateur du journal télévisé. Nous avons souvent travaillé ensemble comme chroniqueurs judiciaires.
Rouen (France) - During the demonstration against the law on raising the retirement age, I had the pleasure of meeting up with friends and former colleagues. Angèle on camera and Fred on the microphone. I took this photo at the beginning of the demonstration during an interview. It is easier to interview protesters when they are not yet marching. Otherwise, the image reporter (cameraman) is obliged to film and move backwards. An exercise that is not always easy because the demonstrators often walk too fast.
For the record Angèle is a bit like the Swiss army knife of journalism. She films as you can see in this photo, but she is also an editor and an excellent presenter of the newspaper. I don't forget my friend Fred who is a field journalist and a talented television news presenter. We have often worked together as legal reporters.
SNELLA E FLESSUOSA
Sul limitare del piazzale della piccola pineta che separa la città di Trieste a Barcola, verso il mare, si vede la bella statua in bronzo della Nuotatrice Ondina decisamente nascosta e quasi mimetizzata tra gli arbusti, sicché è difficile notarla. A farla è stato lo scultore Ugo Carà e fu dono a fine anni ‘80 del Panathlon Club di Trieste.
La figura, snella ed elegante, caratteristica della scultura dell'artista sembra solcare con leggerezza le acque di quel mare sul quale si affaccia Barcola, e dal quale Carà traeva le sue radici, essendo la madre originaria di Creta ed il padre della Dalmazia. Una vita intera, la sua, vissuta a contatto con il mare, essendo nato a Muggia, dove il padre esercitava il mestiere di medico condotto.

SLIM AND FLEXIBLE
On the edge of the square of the small pine forest that separates the city of Trieste from Barcola, towards the sea, you can see the beautiful bronze statue of the Ondine Swimmer decidedly hidden and almost camouflaged among the shrubs, so that it is difficult to notice her. It was made by the sculptor Ugo Carà and it was a gift at the end of the 80s from the Panathlon Club of Trieste.
The slender and elegant figure, characteristic of the artist's sculpture, seems to lightly sail the waters of that sea on which Barcola overlooks, and from which Carà drew its roots, being the mother originally from Crete and the father from Dalmatia. A whole life, his, lived in contact with the sea, having been born in Muggia, where his father practiced the profession of doctor.

She is a street vendor selling books for the kids. Her customers are mostly vehicle users stuck up in congested Dhaka street. As an observer of street activities of survival, I shot the moment from a vehicle.

Nella visita all' Abbazia di San Bartolomeo della Certosa, ci siamo imbattuti in questo giovane professionista, restauratore di Risseu, la caratteristica pavimentazione a mosaico tipica ligure.
Con molta professionalità e passione ci ha spiegato la tecnica del restauro, in cui bisogna andare sulle spiagge per cercare i ciottoli che si adattino perfettamente a sostituire quelli mancanti, persi negli anni.
Fa piacere vedere giovani così competenti e che soprattutto amano il loro lavoro, che è restituire alla primitiva bellezza opere d'arte antichissime.
Sue notizie, sul suo lavoro, si trovano su internet. È comparso anche in un programma di Rai 3, di cui ora non ricordo il titolo
