Procreate App
Directly from an oil painting which was freehand from life/observation/mirror
15 - 30 minutes
This is an iPad painting made with a beta version of iColorama. I used one of Kelly's images as a source to make this.
Our scheduled model canceled. So we sat in a circle an drew each other. Theses were all done with #Procreate on my iPad.
Although the photo this was based on said nothing about where it was, it certainly looks snowy and cold enough to be Canada or Alaska or Scandinavia. Drawn with a digital 6B pencil in Procreate (iPad app), using this photo: www.flickr.com/photos/lemonbase/8476259577/
painted with Procreate using Pencil by 53.
great and powerful app, even captures video that you can output to your iPad. It did crashed on me during this painting once.
As for Pencil, even though it's now officially supported by Procreate, the palm rejection is a hit/miss. Also, no way to turn off the smudging, the app confuses between my palm and fingers, often, it smudge itself even I did not touch any part of the screen at all but with just Pencil.
hmmm...
This week has been rather busy with “Art work“. I’ve also been ill. I do not think there’s a correlation between the two but…. I have another Art friend who, for some reason wanted to draw horses. They’re very few horses inside the city of Columbus, but he wanted to draw one. So I drew this very quickly. We will find a place to go draw horses in the future.
