Part of a series of 4 drawings that are "pre-cut " (drawn on different layers) and ready for animation in the program "Motion". I wanted to develop a real sketchy and dirty ink brush look with Procreate. It was tons of fun.;)
Rhagonycha fulva. They are abundant at the moment and it isn't surprising as they seem to spend a lot of time making babies.
Our guide told us that the lion and lioness at the edge of the road were on their "honeymoon." Every 15 minutes the lion would go into action which explained his laboured breathing on first sighting.

When the ice finally starts melting on Østensjøvannet lake in Oslo, creating patches of open water,
the birds react with a burst of activity. Fighting, quarreling, and mating.
Spring is a wonderful time for everyone who have endured the harsh winter.
These black-headed gulls are trying hard to reproduce, and they don't bother getting a room when the slushy ice will do just fine.
