I seem to have a radius at which bees don’t bother me. I never know how big that radius is on any given day.
My mom says that when I was little, another mom was freaking out at a child getting stung, and she thinks this is when the phobia started.
Thought I’d have a bit of fun with it. Procreate on iPad Pro with apple pencil. I also used face model app as a reference. References are OK! Artists have been using them for ages! It’s not more noble to not use references. Hahaha had to say that. Had an art teacher who implied that you just had to be that good.
Part of it reminds me of a big old heavy carved mahogany mask from Senegal I bought in the early 1970s. Painted with Procreate.
This is an iPad painting, made with a beta version of iColorama and Procreate. I used several of Annie's photographs as sources to make this.
This is a full resolution file of an image posted sometime late September, or early October. I had neglected to notice the earlier versions were downsized. I appolgise to my friends for not realizing my mistake.
Painted mostly with the digital Gesinski Ink brush in Procreate (iPad app), afterwards modified in iPhoto. The overall effect reminds me of some collages that use nothing but torn pieces of paper that have varying degrees of show through, like tissue papers and some rice papers and thinner handmade papers (my father worked for many years as an engineer in pulp and paper research and would show me strange and interesting papers he made from plants seldom if ever used for paper in the U.S.).
Hi, For this painting I used procreate, and painted it from imagination whilst chilling out listening to my most enjoyable relaxing music.
After often imagining round windows that would let aquarium fish watch passersby, I decided to make this collage to see what that might look like. Assembled with Procreate, after masking with PhotoWizard. The fish came from MyReef 3D, an iPad app that simulates an aquarium full of fishes, plants, corals, and rocks.
