okay, so, when i get bored, or am listening to a lecture, i compulsively doodle. i'm not even aware of what i'm drawing, and i think it's just something to do with my hands while my brain is occupied

Yellow grits from Adluh flour company in Columbia SC, with local cabbage, corn and beans (both from the back yard), "seasoned" with just a touch of my homemade creme fraiche. Charlie poached the egg on top--we're trying different methods to see which one we like the best. this was from the Julia Child boil a second before cracking method. Doesn't look too pretty.
procrastinating, in bed...should be cleaning, but i am on the computer. ><

It was a beautiful weekend here and I had so much homework to do. But that didn't stop me from procrastinating. Despite the unsurmountable amount of work I felt a deep need to organize the pantry and make myself mussels in beer. The kitchen is looking really lovely.
I have a big bin of too-big clothes I'm supposed to be donating. I have to wash them first, and washing costs money. So this big pile just hangs around in my apartment :(
