Yeah, that's how I feel when someone ask me if I released my much awaited HDR UNLEASHED book.
But, I can finally announce now that by early July, this year 2012, it will be available to the public. My techniques will be finally revealed to everyone who will get the book.
During my absence from flickr, I fought so many demons in my life. I even forgot what I did before with my HDRs. But now, I got the courage to face all of you and finish what I said I will. With my KK Touch back in my system, it shall be written, it shall be done. I thank you all for being too patient and understanding.
It will not be a showcase of my HDR pictures alone. It will contain the recipe for my way of doing the Kris Kros HDRs.
So, in about 1 to 2 months from now, you can pre-order my book. And to those who asked about whether or not I will sign the books, yes, I will when ordered directly from me.

Now that I'm done clarifying the situation with my book, what's the story about the BIG ELEPHANT a.k.a. The Big Procrastinator.
Well, this image is not totally mine. I got bored with my pictures. Remember the DISNEY thing I posted?
This is actually made up of 3 pictures courtesy of my new friend Rafael aka maesk. I was just browsing his photostream and my eyes got caught with these 3 beautiful pictures shot in South Africa. I asked him if I can work on his pictures and he was so kind to agree with the collaboration. I am so grateful to him that I was able to work on them.

I'm waiting for a phone call and rather than clean my house and get ready for Thanksgiving I'm editing photos. What's wrong with me? Ugh! Off to clean.

The majority of the red-winged blackbirds have headed south for the winter but a few, like this one, remain. Standish Township, Michigan
sometimes it's more fun to dress a doll than iron the bed linen...
hah.. did I really say sometimes? I mean *always*.
Not the greatest photograph, but this is the first time that I have seen a flock of Great Egrets around here in the middle of January, standing on a completely frozen pool at Bombay Hook,NWR.
Hopefully they are able to either move South or survive the winter cold.

After procrastinating for several years I decided to buy a GSO 8” F4 Newtonian with the heavy duty focuser. Apparently it’s a rebranded TS-Optics Newtonian. It has a larger secondary mirror than the F5 version that will suit my full frame DSLR. With my C11 I could only squeeze in the smaller galaxies and planetary nebulae. As an example, on this frame, I would have only fitted in Barnard 33 or The Horsehead nebulae with the focal reducer on. Here’s my first image through my new scope with the pesky bright star Alnitak creating some havoc. The new scope arrived just before the Vicsouth Star Party so unfortunately I didn’t have time to practice collimating it at home first. I’ve now done a full circle with scopes because I owned an 8” Newtonian from Astro Optical suppliers some 50 years ago.

My wife asked me if I would go to the grocery store this morning because she didn't sleep well last night and I said "yes". So as I began to motivate myself out the door I couldn't help but become motivated by the flowers her daughter brought her. So I figured how could she be mad at me if I took a little longer to get there since I was taking this for her. ;-)
Now in all seriousness... Still life shots like this have always been the bane of my photography. So every chance I get I like to try to practice to improve.

I've got the final exam of my degree tomorrow, and so rather than revise I'm messing around with old shots I haven't yet processed!
This is one from a cold morning by the River Brathay, looking towards the Langdale Pikes, back in October - its a stich of 7 shots taken in portrait orientation combined together.
