The United Nations in the Central African Republic proactively took the lead in protecting humanitarian workers during the crisis in Bangui from 27 September. In excess of 70 humanitarians were rescued from life-threatening situations by UN Security teams and sheltered by MINUSCA until their onward movement could be arranged. 126 were flown to safety on 1 October and a further 96 in 2 October after being transferred to Bangui M'Poko Airport by UNDSS with the support of Sangaris forces and the U.S. Embassy and the coordination expertise of OCHA. Further movements are expected in the near future.

When you work in short bursts, using time as a motivator, you can get a significant amount of work finished. As a result, you will be proud of how much you have accomplished and immediately see the results of a cleaner space.
7. Keep Messes Concentrated
Whenever you are working on a messy task like cooking in the kitchen or allowing the kids to work on arts and crafts, try your best to keep your messes concentrated. For instance, instead of spreading yourself out and using every available counter in the kitchen, try to limit yourself to one area. Don’t forget to clean up after yourself as you work and to put things away when they are no longer needed. When you restrict how much space you can use to complete a task, you will have much less surface area to clean afterward. You will also be more likely to clean up while you work instead of dealing with a huge mess at the end.
8. Routinely Declutter Your Home
Whether it’s once per week, once per month, or once per season, take the time to routinely rid your home of clutter. If it’s your first time decluttering, ask yourself if you have used specific items in your home that have piled up within the last year. If you have not used those items, give yourself a month to see if they have a purpose. If not, get rid of them. Think of the kitchen sink as a metaphor for how you approach other cleaning tasks within your home. When you only have a glass or a few dishes to wash, the task becomes relatively simple. However, if you let all of the plates, dishes, and utensils pile up in the sink, even reaching in to get started becomes an arduous venture. Using this approach as an analogy for the rest of your home will keep you motivated to take care of cleaning up messes as soon as they happen instead of procrastinating and making the cleaning task more difficult.
10. Recruit Help
Whether you live with family members, roommates, or alone, there are always ways to recruit the help of others in order to give your home the deep cleaning it deserves.
