WANNABE WARMER WEDNESDAY #3
I was trying to shoot this water lily from afar because the Garden had blocked off the better vantage points. The light was rather dodgy. I hadn't even noticed this guy at first. I think I was mistaking it for just another pad. When you wear glasses because you're blind as a bat these things sometimes happen. I didn't spot him until I was checking my shots in the viewfinder LOL.
Hope you all had an incredible New Year celebration with family/friends. We thought 2021 was going to be a better year and it seems to have failed on so many fronts. Here's to hoping that 2022 is actually going to be better to us. We deserve it, right?

First frog I've spotted this year. The pond is full of tadpoles at various stages of development but this guy is way ahead. Have to be careful mowing the lawn from now on! I find frogs the most amazing creatures on earth. Just look at the detail on this little one. It is so tiny (about size of €2 coin) and so intricate.
....and how will I ever find her again?

For Macro Mondays this week with a topic of Orange I cut a little orange cape daisy from my garden.
I then arranged the real flower above a embroidery of a floral scene, so it was something different.
Afterwards upon viewing the results I cropped and enhanced and processed the image until I was happy with the results.
This image only measures 2.5 x 2.5 inches square.

Prince Charming and Cinderella got married today! The 7 Dwarfs were in attendance and Doc married them.
But hey, everybody has their flaws. When I was home in Iowa for a week, I found (or my family found) three different toads on our property. Each one endured about a 10-minute photo session before being released into the garden. This fellow was particularly hard to contain; it took five minutes of setting him back in place on a red bench before he would actually stay put. That look on his face? That's sheer annoyance.
But he's still so darn cute.

Meeting Prince Charming in the Pyrenees ... 💚
I am so proud of this shot. When me and my dad went to the nature center, this little guy was just waiting on the branch just begging us to take his picture. I'm not sure where Weis or Er were, but I found Bud. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it was the Budweiser commercial with the three frogs, remember? I know, I digress! Anyway, this is untouched. No editing except for my name.
By the way, this is my first bullfrog!!!!!

Here's another one of the neat medallions that have recently been installed at in the lobby of the Grand Floridian.
Disney has put an amazing amount of new marble flooring at the Grand Floridian and it's fun to walk around the lobby and check out all of the new additions.
This one features Cinderella and her Prince Charming. It's at the bottom of the large staircase in front of the elevator doors on the right hand side of the lobby (the side opposite the huge bird cage.)...
