at my quilt guild meeting!
pattern: Tennessee Waltz
fabric: we purchased only the center print and one of the borders I think also. The rest was all from our scrap stashes.
We pieced it back in...April 2012. We got the top together in 2019. My mom had it long armed sometime after that and we started binding it in 2020... but I didn't finish the binding until 2022. Ya know, that's just how crafting projects go. :)
It's nothing more than a snapshot ~ and I didn't even bother trying to clone out the coke cans and other assorted things on the table (including my youngest's blackberry, which is never far from her side) ~ but it's a snapshot of three beautiful young ladies that I'm proud and privileged to call my daughters. :)
It's rare these days to get them all in one place at one time ~ so I took the opportunity to snap this while at mom's for thanksgiving a few weeks ago.
Honestly, this little guy is probably the most entertaining part of my day. Watching him throughout his first year of life has been such a blessing. Exploring the world around him, and giggling at how adorable he is when he discovers something new. His name fits him perfectly, because he is indeed a curious little hobbit. My Frodo.

This is a dear friend of my 19 year old son. He has been there through so much and supported my boy with sage advice and unconditional love and friendship. I have wanted to do this portrait for some time, but our schedules kept missing each other. He just happened to come over today with my son and I had him pose for this long awaited shot. I am quite happy with the outcome. I will see what he and his family say....that is the true test!
Thank you Johnny for all you do, we greatly appreciate you and everything you stand for and do.
The names are his children if anyone wonders.
My grandson is the biggest Red Sox and baseball fan I know. I challenge you to stump him. Chances are, he will stump you. He totally ROCKS!!
