Coming January 31 to some skies near you, the very rare "super blue blood moon eclipse." That designation would seem to cover all possible lunar options, no? This image from the last time it occurred in 1866 when I was much younger. You'll have to agree it is dramatic and worth a peek.

Is it just me or are we having a "super moon" almost every month? In any event, this latest spectacle will be visible in various locations, the identity of such the purpose for Google.

View of the Mosel river from the Prinzenkopf lookout tower, it's a wonderful viewpoint all year, but on a clear autumn day it feels even more special, my plan is to back there next month, not to the same viewpoint, there are so many spots with spectacular views around there, the problem is the weather, low clouds are drawn to the valley like flies to shit when the vineyards are are at their most colorful, but there can be bright spells in the afternoon, hoping for the best.
