Parga is a town and municipality located in the northwestern part of the regional unit of Preveza in Epirus, northwestern Greece. The seat of the municipality is the village Kanallaki. Parga lies on the Ionian coast between the cities of Preveza and Igoumenitsa. It is a resort town known for its natural environment.
One more day in Greece. Parga at night, the islets at left were lit by supernova lights well before sunset, but the castle on to of the rock at right wasn't lit up until much later when the sky was completely black. Don't they know there are photographers out there even in November? :-(

Η Πάργα είναι παραθαλάσσια κωμόπολη που βρίσκεται στο βορειοδυτικό τμήμα του νομού Πρέβεζας της άλλοτε επαρχίας Μαργαριτίου. Είναι κτισμένη αμφιθεατρικά επί του γήλοφου Πεζόβολος σε υψόμετρο 139 μ. και έως τα παράλια του Ιόνιου Πελάγους. Έχει πληθυσμό 2.415 κατοίκους. Αποτελεί ιστορική έδρα του δήμου Πάργας ενώ η δημοτική ενότητα Πάργας έχει πληθυσμό 3.904 κατοίκους (Απογραφή 2011). Έδρα του δήμου είναι το Καναλλάκι, αλλά η Πάργα αποτελεί οικονομικό, εμπορικό και τουριστικό κέντρο της περιοχής. Στη δημοτική κοινότητα ανήκουν οι τοπικές κοινότητες Αγιάς, Ανθούσας, Λιβαδαρίου.

Parga is a seaside town located in the northwestern part of the prefecture of Preveza in the former province of Margariti. It is built amphitheatrically on the hill Pezovolos at an altitude of 139 m. And to the shores of the Ionian Sea. It has a population of 2,415 inhabitants. It is a historical seat of the municipality of Parga while the municipal unit of Parga has a population of 3,904 inhabitants (2011 Census). The seat of the municipality is Kanallaki, but Parga is an economic, commercial and tourist center of the area. The local communities of Agia, Anthousa, Livadari belong to the municipal community.

Λίμνη - έλος Καλοδικίου
ΒΙΚΙΠΑΊΔΕΙΑ
Το Καλοδίκι βρίσκεται στα νότια όρια με την περιφερειακή ενότητα Πρέβεζας, σε απόσταση 31 χλμ. ΝΑ. από την Ηγουμενίτσα και 13,5 χλμ. ΒΑ. (μέσω Αγίας Κυριακής) από την Πάργα, ενώ δίπλα και νότια του χωριού περνά η ΕΟ Πρέβεζας - Ηγουμενίτσας. Είναι κτισμένο βόρεια της λίμνης - έλους Καλοδικίου, ανάμεσα στο Πυργί (ΝΔ.), Μαργαρίτι (Β.-ΒΔ.), Μόρφιo (ΝΑ.). Ως οικισμός αναφέρεται επίσημα το 1981 να απογράφεται στην τότε κοινότητα Μαργαριτίου. Σύμφωνα με το Πρόγραμμα «Καλλικράτης» μαζί με το Μαργαρίτι και το Παλαιόκαστρο αποτελούν την τοπική κοινότητα Μαργαριτίου που ανήκει στη δημοτική ενότητα Μαργαριτίου του δήμου Ηγουμενίτσας και σύμφωνα με την απογραφή 2011 έχει πληθυσμό 18 μόνιμους κατοίκους[1].

Kalodiki is located on the southern borders with the regional unit of Preveza, at a distance of 31 km SE. from Igoumenitsa and 13.5 km NE. (via Agia Kyriaki) from Parga, while next to and south of the village passes the Preveza - Igoumenitsa National Road. It is built north of the lake - swamp of Kalodiki, between Pyrgi (SW), Margariti (NW), Morfio (SE). As a settlement it is officially mentioned in 1981 to be inventoried in the then community of Margariti. According to the "Kallikratis" Program, together with Margariti and Paleokastro, they constitute the local community of Margariti that belongs to the municipal unit of Margariti of the municipality of Igoumenitsa and according to the 2011 census has a population of 18 permanent residents [1].
