Young people are increasingly at risk of being targeted by scammers. Thai university students, migrants, civil society, government, law enforcement and private sector representatives gathered in Bangkok to raise awareness and prevent human trafficking and other abuses facilitated by digital technology.
The main idea behind the forum was to engage Southeast Asia’s youth in raising visibility about the risk of human trafficking and online scams. The initiative was organized by UNODC under the PROTECT project funded by the European Union and supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO), UN Women, and UNICEF.

Hair growth occurs when old cells are pushed out of the hair follicle due to the production of new cells.
It occurs in three phases – growth (anagen), shedding (catagen), and rest (telogen).
During the resting period, your hair reaches its lifespan and falls out, and a new strand grows in its place. Hair color is produced by melanin, which is produced by melanocytes. Unlike skin, pigmentation in hair is not continuous.

Prevent Water Pipes from Freezing in Toronto Winter!
Canadian winter has now settled in and temperatures below freezing are here to stay for the next couple of months. During these winter months, we deal with an increased number of calls regarding water damage and emergency plumbing due to frozen and burst pipes.
Tips: preventing frozen burst pipes on Toronto Cold Weather!
When water freezes in your pipes it expands and the pressure within the pipes increases, this can lead to burst pipes and in consequence water damage of your home or property. There are certain steps you can take to safeguard your plumbing system from frozen pipe damage.
HOW TO PREVENT FROZEN BURST PIPE DURING WINTER?
- First, you should disconnect all outdoor hoses and turn the water off all exterior faucets.
- Wrap pipes that are in the attic, crawl spaces and near exterior walls with pipe insulation or heating tape.
- Keep your garage doors closed during the winter if there are water supply lines in the garage.
- Keep your house temperature not lower than 15 Celsius degrees even if you are going away for an extended period of time.
- During an extreme cold weather event, you can turn your hot and cold water faucets and allow a trickle of water, the flow of water prevents from pipes getting frozen.
- Finally, locate the water valves to the water supply and water heater so you are prepared if a flood emergency happens.
