The second week of camp was so much fun and the hot weather didn’t prevent us from enjoying all the wonderful activities. To honor this week’s theme, “Celebrate America,” the campers enjoyed making hand print flag t-shits. Check online for really cute pictures. The children also decorated sandwich cookies with red, white and blue sprinkles. Yum!
This week in Ceramics, The Willows learned how to pound out the clay into circles to make their hand or foot prints. The children were excited to meet, Billy or Rosie, the ponies and all were smiling while riding. Also, the children continued to master their techniques in swimming and can’t wait to demonstrate their skills on visiting day next week. In Woodcraft, the children had fun painting and coloring their wall organizers, All the campers had a terrific time in Mini-Golf, Soccer, Dance, Gymnastics and Tennis and each child has found his/her favorite activities.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday July 11th for our visiting day. Remember to label everything your child brings to camp.

This is exactly the case in millions of people’s colons across America and the world, because in modern times, the simple practices that maintain basic levels of colon hygiene are mostly ignored and overlooked.
But this wasn’t always the case.
Around the turn of 1900, enemas were considered a foundation for recovery from almost any illness, and an enema or colonic was one of the first procedures performed in hospitals across the United States, and throughout the developed world.
Enemas had been widely used throughout the world for thousands of years before they were standard procedure in US hospitals around the turn of the century.
The phrase “good health resides in the gut” dates back to Hippocrates in ancient Greece, who is known as the Father of Medicine., and modern science now provides ample evidence to support his hypothesis.

Due to the widespread use of pharmaceutical antibiotics in modern times, this simple and effective practice has fallen almost entirely out of custom. I especially find it ironic that enemas are not even practiced in hospitals and clinic for acute and chronic intestinal infections, when this would clearly be the best way to “apply directly” to an infection, and the more convenient, yet highly problematic solution of broad-spectrum pharmaceutical antibiotics, is almost always prescribed instead.
So to my mind it seems clear that we have allowed our value for convenience to override our need for both safety and effectiveness. In the quest for convenience, we have become dependent on harmful pharmaceutical drugs and have lost touch with the classical knowledge of how to combat illness our selves.
Based on my research and experience, I strongly believe that regularly practicing home enemas is an essential component of effective personal hygiene, just like regularly brushing one’s teeth. Really its even more important than brushing our teeth, because our mouth is not where the primary foundation of our health and wellness resides.
Perhaps its simply because we can see inside our mouths so easily that we focus so much on keeping our mouths clean and our teeth well brushed. Then this same logic would then make it very easy to ignore cleaning our colon. But just because we can’t see inside our colon doesn’t mean it’s not extremely important to keep clean!
You know, it’s a sort of like cleaning the back corners of your fridge. It can be all too easy to ignore, but if you don’t clean it regularly then you will eventually have something rotting in there. This will not only make your whole fridge stink, but it will also affect all of the food in your fridge as the rotting bacteria spreads. And the exact same thing is true inside your colon.

A few hundred people gathered at the intersection of Congress and Michigan Saturday April 21st to protest the U.S. wars occurring on a permanent basis in various parts of the world. The overriding message was one of peace, and to put an end to the endless wars.

Shireen Al-Adeimi is from Yemen. She spoke eloquently about the relentless bombing campaign being carried out by Saudi Arabia with the support of the United States against her country. Hospitals, schools, even weddings and funerals have been targeted. There is a blockade against her country which prevents food and medicine from being provided to the people who need it the most. Starvation and disease are rampant. It's being called the worst humanitarian crisis of the 21st century. You can listen to some of her speeches on Facebook Live.
Rania Salem is a Palestinian activist. She spoke about how Gaza has been turned into a huge open air prison and how Palestinians are being shot down by Israeli snipers by the wall separating Gaza from Israel while peacefully protesting for their Right of Return to their ancestral lands.

On May 6, 2023 at 5:45PM the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 640 block of S San Pedro Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The first arriving fire officer reported finding a two story commercial building with an outside fire which was extending into the building. He requested three additional task forces and the firefighters initiated an offensive operation.
Facing both rolling steel and heavy duty security doors, firefighters used rotary saws to cut their way into the building. Once inside, fire attack found the fire extending to just the area at the front of the building. The 38 firefighters on scene (prior to the assignment of the additionally requested fire companies), operating under the command of Battalion Chief Nicholas Ferrari, quickly got water on the blaze and achieved a full knockdown in 30 minutes. The fire was held at the front of the building and prevented from extending back through the structure.
One male firefighter sustained a non-life threatening leg injury while working to gain access to the building. He was transported to the hospital for care.
The fire was determined to have originated outside and extended into the building. A thorough search of the structure found no occupants inside.

is a city in the southwest of Galicia, the southernmost population of the province of Pontevedra (Spain).
Geography
Communicates with Portugal by the natural boundary of the Minho River to the southeast, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and with the city of El Rosal in the north. Tamoxifen is a type of cancer medication used to treat and prevent breast cancer. Although this drug is one of the less expensive cancer drugs, comprehensive health coverage can help ease the cost burden just when you need help most. Unfortunately, many insurance companies do not provide adequate coverage for cancer treatments. If you have breast cancer, you might have already discovered that insurers do not like to pay for cancer-related expenses. Although Tamoxifen will not bankrupt you like some other cancer drugs, you should still be prepared to fight for your right to coverage.
Before filing a claim, read your health insurance contract. There are two sections that you should look at very closely, the schedule of benefits and the section called limitations and exclusions. The schedule of benefits is a long list of procedures that your insurance company will pay for. Although your insurer might not mention specific drugs, you should make sure that cancer treatments are eligible for coverage. You should read over the limitations and exclusions section for much the same reason. You should not try to file a claim if cancer treatments are listed under exclusions. Doing so would be a guaranteed waste of time. If you have any questions about Tamoxifen coverage, talk to your insurance provider for clarification.
Start by reviewing your own insurance company's policies regarding cancer and preventative treatments. If you start out by knowing what they allow or expect, you will have less let-down and struggle later. If they don't cover treatments like Tamoxifen, find a company that will. In many cases, you can even talk to the drug company about getting on a program that will help you afford your medications. Of course, having private health insurance is always going to be easier and less hassle. Private insurance companies aren't out to get you. They are just out to make a profit.
When it comes to maintenance treatment and ongoing care for things like cancer and other chronic diseases, insurance companies lose a lot of money. If they spend months paying for expensive prescriptions that you need for your situation, they are losing profits because you are ill for a longer period of time. In most cases, insurance companies deny these medications because it simply costs them too much money to pay for them.
