Finally, some warmer weather. 80 and sunny in VT today. We need to enjoy it, however, still a lot of rain and cooler weather coming our way in the next ten days.
....and it's a good thing. May as well get some enjoyment from them for a few weeks to months yet.
The snow was already too deep to bother trudging around in to get at them.... and, now... another 18 inches or thereabouts has fallen in the past few days.
There will be more today ....and, who knows how much more before we're done with winter around here.
I bleeped out the bird feeders so it looked better ....
This is the view from my kitchen window......and, now the lady across the street is turning her other lights on as well... this night she just had on some tiny ones behind her little wooden reindeer..... now the ones near the front porch are on as well.
When I drive around in the dark I see lots of houses still have lights up and are turning them on.... they look so pretty in the snow.

One evening recently, just after sunset, there were such delicate and beautiful colours in the sky and upon the ocean. There was a slight mist above the ocean as well, creating quite a magical scene.

I noticed this little girl playing with something shiny...and, when I got close.... discovered it was some Christmas lights.... she was trying valiantly to untangle them....you know how they get when they have been stored for a year.
Little Darla...only 2 1/2 inches big ... a needle felted bear made from natural white Romney wool... string jointed so she ca be posed... black onyx beads for eyes and an embroidered nose.

I have no idea who this dude is. I didn't even recognize his dogs (which is something... considering that Echo and I visit this park every day). Anyway... I thought they made a nice picture... what with the seasonal hat and the streaming sunlight and glistening ocean below...
We had our first heavy frost last night. It was 28 this morning, but going to warm up to 45 today! We had a warm and amazing September and October.., but....it's kind of nice to feel the "crispness" of fall in the air.
The trees in my yard are at their peak ...so pretty...they are swirling in the faint breeze today. 67 and sunny. The perfect autumn day! This looks so pretty in the light box. Happy Thursday.
There's nothing like the fragrant perfume of lilacs! I have so many lovely photos I will share...long after the lilacs are gone for another year. Happy hump day.

I'm really lucky to have someone I love who's willing to go do things like this with me. It's so much more fun than going alone. Especially when it’s the beginning of a few hour adventure along the Blue Ridge Parkway (and to a bunch of towns along the way) in the middle of fall. If you live in the area and ever want something fun to do for a day, it’s beautiful in the fall.
