Time it was

And what a time it was

It was a time of innocence

A time of confidences

This barn is on Mormon Row near Jackson Hole Wyoming. I've often been to the two most photographed barns, but this one is a bit further down the old dirt road and whenever there visiting, it always had buffalo nearby. I was thrilled this visit because I could go right up and around the barn. I also love that all three barns are being restored!

Krzywiń is a small town in the province Greater Poland, with approximately 1,700 inhabitants. It was a private clergy town belonging to the Benedictine abbot in Lubin. The first preserved mention of Krzywiń as a town comes from 1272. In 1382, the city was destroyed during domestic fights, the reconstruction took place half a century later. In 1447, the location privilege was renewed. The center of the development was a Market Square with a town hall (the present one comes from 1905) in the south-eastern frontage. In the middle of the Market Square there is a statue of St. Wawrzyniec street and the frontages are built with houses from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The market was revitalized in 2014 and is a major tourist attraction.

Phylis Haenle Preserve, Grass Lake, Michigan.

Panorama created from twenty two images stitched together in Capture One

We visited the Haenle preserve to witness the migration of sand hill cranes. While we did observe about 25 cranes fly in from surrounding fields where they forage during the day, they landed on the opposite side of the marsh. Even with a long telephoto lens, they were too far away to get any good shots. But, the weather was fantastic.

The SF 52 Akurey has been sited on the quayside in Höfn and is described as a monument boat/being preserved. I have struggled to find information online, but she appears to have been in service as a fishing boat from 1963 until 1992. Her deck is sometimes open for tours but our out of season visit meant that this wasn't the case.

The Greek-Catholic Episcopal Palace from Oradea, located in the Union Square, takes its present form in 1905. The architect of the palace was Rimanóczy

Kálmán Jr., the most important architect from the 1900- 1912 period.

Until the first decade of the 20th century another baroque-style building was in its place – the seat of the Romanian Church United with Rome. In 1778 it was added another floor, and after the fire of 1836 it was rebuilt. Between 1874 and 1875 a new wing was built on Mihai Pavel Street, and the late baroque façade was modified by master Imre János.

Bishop Demetrie Radu ordered architect Rimanóczy Kálmán Jr. the design of the present appearance of the palace. The demolition works of the old building (preserving some parts of the old one) began on 10th of August 1903, and the building was inaugurated on 11th of July 1905.

From a recent trip to Long Island New York.

After dealing with a career filled with deadlines and pressures I try to avoid those situations now. When I participate in art shows I often get asked to come out and photograph people's barns but I rarely do. But a family of siblings asked me to photograph this deteriorating heritage of their great-grandfather who built this barn in the late 1800s and I found it hard to turn them down.

A little beauty in North Vancouver.
