TV presenter Lorraine Kelly turned Army inspector at a Royal Gun Salute to mark the Queen's birthday.
It was Colonel Kelly's first official duty since taking up an honorary post with the Black Watch.
Dressed in official uniform, the GMTV host acted as Inspecting Officer at Stirling Castle where troops lined up in honour of the Queen's official birthday.
Glasgow-born Kelly, 49, is a keen supporter of the Armed Forces. She was recently appointed to the role of Honorary Colonel of the Black Watch battalion's Army Cadet Force (ACF).

The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is an annual festival, usually around nine days long, held in late January or early February, in the Kala Ghoda area of South Mumbai, India.
From its inception in 1999, the Festival has grown in stature and popularity, attracting visitors and participants from other parts of the country, and the world.The Festival is organised by the Kala Ghoda Association (a non-profit organisation that states its objectives as "physically upgrading the Kala Ghoda sub-precinct and making it the Art District of Mumbai") and curated by teams handling each of the sub-festivals.
The sub-festivals feature the visual arts, dance, music, theatre, cinema, literature, lectures, seminars and workshops, heritage walks, special events for children, and a vibrant street festival.

David Mellor called us all perverts on breakfast TV, on the 14th March 1996, the day after the Dunblane shootings, because we owned handguns, so our club, the WESC just had to inaugurate the "David Mellor Pervert's Trophy" competition....................
A Piece of timber, brass plate and a donation of an un-wanted and un-used present from one of our Lady members (not the one above) and we had a trophy!
We invited him to it's first presentation, but he never answered....
I won't say who won it 1st, or why.
But it wisnae me!!!! (The first time anyway)
P.S. Mellor forgot to mention his lounge wall covered in replica guns, so he can't be that anti-gun??
Off The Rails Presenter Sonya Lennon and Gillian Walsh, wife of Champion Jockey Ruby were today announced as the Judges of the Mount Juliet & Irish Tatler Most Stylish Lady & Man competition on Lexus day at Leopardstown on Wednesday 28th December 2011. They were joined on the day by Irish Tatler’s Sportswoman of the year and top Jockey Katie Walsh.

“Melinda Messenger Launches The TBS Ideal Home Show”. You will see this headline in many newspapers tomorrow but I am not sure that it is totally accurate because the event that I attended was hosted by Harvey Norman rather than the RDS or the TSB.
This is the second year in a row for Harvey Norman at the Ideal Home Show at the RDS in Dublin and today, the day before the show opens to the public, the media were invited to view what will be on offer at the Harvey Norman ‘connected home’. As well as some really appealing home automation we were also introduced to Melinda Messenger who attracted more attention than most of the embedded technology.
I must be losing touch because a friend had to explain to me that Melinda Janet Messenger (born 23 February 1971) is an English television presenter and former glamour model and Page 3 girl. She presented the magazine programme Live from Studio Five and was formerly the co-presenter of the reality show Cowboy Builders. Maybe, I need to watch more television. Don’t worry some of my photographs available via Flickr do include the lady in question.
I do suggest that you should visit the Harvey Norman ‘connected home’ over the weekend [in case you are wondering they did not pay me to say that].
