My view during my presentation on floating collections at PUG 2010 since I decided to sit. I didn't want to wear the portable mike (the previous presenter had problems with it). Since I was wearing heels that day, the podium mike was too low, so I sat. I was very comfortable. I hope the audience was, too.
Follow up - we got the evals back. One person complained that they couldn't see me. Complaining after the fact didn't help either of us much. However, if you wanted to resolve the situation there were a couple of options - 1) move to a better seat. The room wasn't full and I could see most of the audience, so they could see me, too. 2) Ask me to stand. If you would have asked me, I would have done it. In fact, I started out the presentation saying "If you don't mind, I believe I'll sit." Apparently, you minded. Speak up.
The 2012 Tri-Cities Area Division Thank You Event was held at Southwestern Illinois College - Granite City Sam Wolf Campus on Thursday, November 15. Guests enjoyed a complimentary full breakfast, followed by a brief presentation by the 2012 TCAD Campaign Chair, Board Chair, and United Way of Greater St. Louis President and CEO Gary Dollar. Following the "Superhero" theme for this year's campaign, award recipients also doubled as superheroes sporting capes that revealed the final 2012 TCAD campaign attainment number.
Fully deserved - the Best Newcomer award for 2005 goes to James Young. Runner of the Year 2002,2003 and 2004 Brian Humphries hands over the trophy to James.
