"What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candour, and more unashamed conversation." Glenn Close Ms Shivani Joshi, Vice-Principal Special Educator, conducted a virtual session for teachers of BSFC on mental health. She spoke on how crucial it is to take care of mental health too. Her session revolved around tips on positivity, self-care, self-love, handling stress during the pandemic. She also discussed different tools of meditation that can help adults to remove negative thoughts from their mind. Mr Manan Choksi, Executive Director of the school, addressed the teachers and advised them to daily have their "Me Time" The session ended after a Q& A round and resolve to concentrate on the positive aspects of life.

Toddlers of ECC were introduced to colouring using balloon dabbing techniques. They were guided virtually by their teachers for the correct method of colouring. The little ones dabbed, coloured on their sheets during the session and showed their colouring skills to their teachers.

It is challenging to keep toddlers engaged with live classes, but hats off to the motivated and energetic teachers of BSFC who keep the toddlers hooked on to their live classes. Last week young children of Sparkles celebrated Virtual Rakhsabandhan with a Rakhi making activity, while toddlers of Junior KG had a Secondary Colour making session. Grand Parents are always special, and young children share a unique bond with them. They are the ones who babysit, love and entertain the kids at home. This year the school celebrated this day virtually with the grandparents. Special invites were shared with them to attend virtual celebrations. Teachers had prepared a series of bonding exercises that the grandparents did with students during an online class. The activities included painting, games and storytelling. Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) play a pivotal role in acknowledging the all-round development of a child. Regular interactions between parents and teachers strengthen the bond between the child, parent, and teacher. We organized a Virtual PTM on a one-to-one basis for parents on MS Teams to discuss the progress of each child. Parents presented their doubts and queries, and we made sure to solve all of them. We also welcomed their suggestions to achieve 100% learning of each child. This PTM provided a friendly atmosphere for the progress of the child’s personality and also acknowledged the child’s aptitude and achievements. We gratify all our parents to cooperate with us in this transitioned mode of PTM.
