16 Random Things About Me...
1. I am less than 5 feet tall.
2. I like to eat baked potatoes by scooping the potato out of the skin, mashing it down on my plate and adding butter, salt and pepper. It's how I used to do it as a kid and I still do it at age 43. It's my ultimate comfort food.
3. I've been to Iceland.
4. I admire the Dalai Lama very much and love to read his books.
5. I subscribe to National Geographic, Oprah Magazine, Cooking Light and Newsweek
6. I love to take pictures of tiny little moments and things most people don't notice.
7. My dad died in '97 of a massive heart attack while exercising in his home gym. :-(
8. I have mild OCD in the form of worry that something bad will happen to someone I love. My compulsion is tapping something 3 times to make the thought go away. I wasn't able to talk about it out loud until I learned in my 30's that it's caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain.
9. I want to visit Fiji, Italy and Africa very badly.
10. My cats are my children: Abigail, Little Buddy, Emily, Cinnamon Rose and Clancey.
11. I spend way too much time on the computer and I am going to try to make my New Year's Resolution be to stay off the computer 2 days a week and do something aerobic instead.
12. I don't eat pork unless someone serves it at a dinner party and I don't want to hurt their feelings. I feel a special connection to pigs. They are smart and sweet.
13. I was a vegetarian for 7 years in the 90's.
14. I bite my nails.
15. I love heavy metal.
16. I drive a white Toyota Tacoma PreRunner pick-up truck with big sexy tires.
I came up with this truck while i was working on a new suspension technique for minifig (or not) vehicles!
I have to admit that i was influenced a lot by a Lego set (OMG i didn't believe i would ever say that!!). It was always on my mind to make a trophy truck or a prerunner but i was not satisfied with the fenders i was using. But when i saw the first pics of 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape i knew i would use that kind of fender on my trophy truck!

-how the chassis is connected to the frame
-how the suspension works and
-what the rear (lovely aren't they?!) wheels are made of
You can see that changing the grey liftarms with other longer or shorter ones it can fit under many vehicles of different size!

I finally finished the model of my own truck. My 2013 Toyota Tacoma, which I built for the LUGNuts challenge. The doors open, along with the hood and tailgate. The interior is as detailed as possible.

Well, since I'm once again running out of ideas for things to build due to school, ROTC, work, and my girlfriend, I decided to give a second attempt at building my own truck. This time, it's a minifigure scale version of it. Enjoy!
Today's story and sketch "by me" we are in San Clemente
California, for the annual "CCBP" California Coast Blimp Parade.
Most of the blimps you will see are what are known as
prerunner or show blimps, blimp teams from around the
Galaxy are here to show off their new blimp designs to
the millions of "EBRA", Earth Blimp Racing Association
fans.
What the Teams will not be showing is their newest
diabolical weapons systems, like the latest in frozen
water harpoons, that are believed this year to
have a range of one mile, another new weapon is the hand,
or in some cases the flipper or tentacle held "IML" Ice Missile
launcher, which will surely be a favorite to those race fans
that enjoy watching a crash.
Frozen water weapons that melt after impact make
identifying the shooters much harder or impossible to
prosecute. Frozen water harpoons grounded twenty five of
the one hundred race blimps entered in last years EBRA
race. Twelve of the EBRA race officials where busy in
the off season that manufacture race blimp defense systems.
but those are a story for another time, until then
taa ta the Rod Blog.

Some selective deletion of letters on this tailgate of a Toyota Tacoma is amusing. The letters were NOT removed by me during post-development.
I admit that I obscured some characters on the license plate and frame, though.
More letters can be removed, say from the word 'PreRunner' to read 'rerun' or simply 'run.' It can be made to say ‘Taco run’ or ‘Taco runner’ making it an appropriate vehicle with which to go and get what’s become a popular dining choice for Tuesdays!
At my local bike shop Bici Sport My friend Griffin Jones just finished building up this beautiful bicycle.
Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon, it weighs 27lbs and is just about the sexiest all mountain bike i've ever seen in my life.

Driveterrain: Sram X.0.

Yes, this thing is badass. So anyways I went down to the shop today to take some beauty shots of it and here they are. The Frame is carbon and the downtube and rear triangle have carbon to reinforce the original carbon. Haha
