Toujours un immense bonheur de les revoir.

Wish you a wonderful time.

Maybe these are milking cows. I dunno.

As the heavens prepare for an imminent downpour, nature paints a breathtaking scene in the mountains of Tuscany.

Italy experiences a period of intense rainfall as dark clouds dominate the sky. The relentless downpour transforms the landscape, turning streets into temporary rivers and fields into saturated patches of earth. People navigate through the rain, seeking shelter and utilizing umbrellas and raincoats to stay dry. The heavy rainfall showcases the power and unpredictability of nature, reminding us of our vulnerability in the face of natural forces.

Oiseau de pâturage plutôt furtif. On le localise à son chant particulier.

Bird of grazing rather stealthy. It is localized to its own singing.

A male ruddy duck, before breeding season. During the breeding season, their bill becomes bright blue and their plumage a beautiful ruddy red. This shot from January, but I figured my stream needed a break from hummingbirds 😁 (a shot of a ruddy duck in breeding plumage in first comment)

A koa’e ‘ula spots fish, stops and hovers in mid-air, then plunges into the water for the catch. Tropicbirds are superb aerial acrobats and underwater swimmers. Their aerial courtship displays over the ocean are fascinating to watch. One of the few birds that can fly backwards. The red-tailed tropicbird is one of only three species of tropicbirds worldwide and identified by the red bill and distinctive long, red, central tail streamers. Surely among the most beautiful of all the seabirds! Koa’e ‘ula, red-tailed tropicbird, Phaethon rubricauda.
