Inside this small building sits Jeff Serusa the photographer, his large wooden made-to-order box camera, and some of the most stunning photographs I have ever seen. He only uses film, he sometimes waits years to nail a shot, and the images he then prints on canvas all look as though they have a dimension and depth that are unparalleled. The red ship photo he hangs outside his door is one such example. If interested, check out his site. He is an amazing photographer.

When Napoleon had defeated the Prussians in 1807, the Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria came up with the plan to unite the praiseworthy Germans in a temple of honor for the fatherland. Walhalla translates as the hall of the dead. The Walhalla is an open monument, i.e. that even today worthy persons can be recorded as busts.
Architecture of the Walhalla
The interior is characterized by floor and wall surfaces made of marble, a richly structured ceiling with figures from Germanic mythology, a frieze running all around with relief depictions from early German history, the caryatids supporting the roof structure and six goddesses of victory.

Sometimes when I load up a picture to Photoshop I have no idea about the outcome. In this case I wanted to create a lovely picture of the autumn which is coming soon. After some time of trying I finally got this pic which could be taken on a late november day.

I am drawn to the moon as if it has a magnetic force! It glows so beautifully as it rises through the trees. It is magic!! Have a wonderful Saturday!! Hugs!!
Gloria comes from the Latin vocabulary word meaning “glory”. Glory is essentially the prestige, respect, admiration and honor that is given to one who achieves something of importance and praiseworthy. It also connotes a sense of sublime beauty which inspires great wonder or joy (a “glorious” sunset, for instance).
When I was born, my parents told me that they want to name me Victoria but my grandfather( Mom's Dad), told them that he wants Gloria instead because I was born two days before Christmas. It reminded him of the hymn "Gloria in excelsis Deo." Victoria is a calendar name for the month of December which is a beautiful name as well.
This personalized necklace was made by my daughter as one of my gifts for my birthday.

Story Behind:
I was on my first weekend trip to Hovs Hallar with a buddy, feeling quite excited; I had heard many praiseworthy things about this place like a ton of movies scenes had been shot there because of its scenic beauty. On the news earlier, the weather reports didn’t look that promising, but I felt quite optimistic that it would change. For some reason, I had extremely high expectations of the place. I imagined a beautiful sunset would greet me when I get there, and the atmosphere would somehow literally capture the light so that I could shoot for a long time. It was going to be perfect, I thought.
It was still drizzling when we reached the parking lot, everyone was leaving the place, but I wasn’t ready to give up my hope just yet. So we decided to head up to the beach. Ten minutes later, I was proved right. The rain had stopped, the only problem now was that the sky was still overcast.

We're all such good people when distant from ourselves
in flight, in fright at the very sight of ourselves in the global fight
to appease the forms we fill-in the slavery of common sense coming to light
now we take a look around from caustic dreams sunrising themselves
to be...to be still within a cavernous emotional front-ground
with our backs against the empty wall of silence
the background of existence is one of a deeper ambivalence
that of staying down when our world is up in the air, unbound
crazy is the learning curve that needs accompaniment
that exodus of feeling when home comforts emptiness
what togetherness supplies when the heart transmits allusiveness,
when it beats loud and clear it's over and out, emigrating a bestowment
the promise of never being hurt (again) heaves the essence of living
we're all deserving of such a resolution, that which is adept,
yet none should be the recipent of one poorly kept-
by another's careless windswept drifts of misgiving
sometimes crying is apt for the shame of difficulty
but pain comes with the guarantee of a distant sunrise
just like you or me, we're the emphatic breath of hope in disguise
infrequently recognised as the gift of life within individual personality
morbidity may be a weightless apathy toward the groundless empathy
for this we must fly the course headstrong into it's antitrade
a voyage of discovery within us all tends to the inner crusade
for the gliding inapthy has the air of certitude so praiseworthy.

To Anonymous, I must apologize, for while hunting for foto opportunities of "interestingness", I was stunned by these three trees against this "soon after sunrise" sky. Quickly stopping car, I grabbed my weapon, and exited onto firm Louisiana prairie land to take fotos and also watch for any type activity in the surrounding flooded crawfish/rice fields. During such licensed hunting seasons, be sure to wear distinctive bright clothing and no antlers or feathers, for gun totting trophy hunters just might suspect you would fit well on a trophy wall after taxidermist's stuffing. BEST NOT TO GO OUT THAT WAY!

The Eva van Hoogeveen almshouse has the entrance at the Doelensteeg. Eva van Hoogeveen came from a wealthy family. She was unmarried, daughter of Albert (Aelbrecht), Heere van Hoogeveen and a very chaste and praiseworthy virgin. In 1650, she testified that she wanted to use her money to buy Houses in honor of God for Chaste Virgins and Honorable Widows. After her death, in 1652, the executors (her brother and a cousin) bought a number of building plots to build this almshouse.
The houses are currently occupied by one-person households. Given the historical background of the almshouse, the houses are preferably rented to single middle-aged ladies.
