I haven't really told anybody about it, but my pictures seem to have done the talking and suddenly everyone seems to be heading down Fascadale beach. I've been a bit taken aback by the reaction various people have had when they have seen the patterns. I thought I had it as my own little secret, but I seem to have let it out the bag.
Just another shot of sand patterns and barnacle covered rock taken at my feet, trying to cope with the fact I was sinking quite quickly into a patch of sinking sand, and adjust my focus for the shortening range to subject
Clematis Montana.
A rest from the weird and wonderful: this was taken yesterday in the hedge at the back of my garden. No, the flower not me :)
The Montana is a lovely plant. We planted it in the dark green Leylandii hedge ages ago and on a good year it's like a waterfall of white snow in May.
Leylandii are notorious - they're trees that form dense hedges if planted in rows. They are one of the few plants British Law recognises as being thugs - your neighbour can ask you to take them down if they are too close to their boundary.
Now who do you think might win - this delicate white beauty or the thug if it came to a battle?
Hmmm... The delicate white beauty every time, as is evidenced by a dead Leylandii tree in the middle of my hedge. The clematis just swamps it unless you hack it every year.
The flower is about three inches across.

(Behind-the-scene: It was dusk and it was low tide. I was on the shore enjoying the sun paint the skies with painterly hues (while keeping an eye for for subjects to photograph) when I espied this tourist walk by combing the shoreline for seashells to pick... Lucio winked at me. Snap!)

Early in the morning in the east of Iceland we could marvel at the moonset, while the rising sun was already coating the snow-covered peaks with the first hint of alpenglow. The best part was that this photo was not planned and we just stumbled into this beautiful moment.

A, Praise Band, refers to a group of musicians who play contemporary worship music, usually at a church during services. This shot was taken at a Methodist men's retreat. The rest of the band is to camera left, out of view. Only one word of the song they were playing is captured from the screen it was projected on.

Religion, as we know it, is the root of all evil. Is it THAT hard to love and respect ALL other living things, without sets of rules and regulations that collide with other similar (but different) sets..?
Only that way the light will continue to shine on us. Only if we learn to accept and respect the life around us.
