A white-tailed prairie dog singing its heart out. Seen in the Arapaho NWR in northern Colorado, which has several large prairie dog towns. This guy is actually a guard, there are always several of them standing in the upright position around the burrows. When someone dangerous, like a photographer, approaches, the guards make shrill, quite loud noises to alert everyone else. And they all stop in their tracks and look at you.
