Pradeep K. Kapur, Joint Secretary, Foreign Service Institute, Ministry of External Affairs is a career diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service, and has interest in the theory and practice of economic, political and cultural diplomacy. He has been India’s Ambassador to Cambodia, and has served in various capacities in the Ministry of External Affairs and in the Indian Embassies abroad. “Homicidal burns” occur when someone is hired to "hit" another person by causing bodily injury. The most common method of injury is throwing acetic or sulfuric acid into someone's face and body. The acid initially burns and turns the surface of the skin yellow and then black. Eventually the skin burns off and leaves exposed skin underneath. This is where surgical grafting is needed.
This is the story of a lover's triangle and a bystander. Pradeep had an affair with another person's wife (Janakie). A hit was made using sulfuric acid which was doused on them while they were in a three-wheeler taxi.
Pradeep Pednekar or Dada as I fondly call him is a make up wizard and has been in the movie and advertising industry from past 3 decades. He has been associated with great actors like Asrani Sahab, Tiku Talsania and Ajinkya Deo.
He is a master in giving different get ups and looks to actors.
I have been asscoiated with Dada as a model and now as photographer as well.
No portfolio shoot of mine is complete without him.
If my photographs of models are nice and if they look good than the credit mostly should go to him.
He is gem of person, very professional and has been a great source of inspiration and help in my venturing into this field of photography.
There are certain people whom one associates during one's lifetime and with each passing days and years they become very very special and dear to us.
Dada is one of them.
Dont know what I will do without him both as a friend and as a photographer.

Pradeep Kumar Panda is the CIO of Sambad from Orissa. Pradeep was on an all-day fast, and I was quite impressed with his determination and enthusiasm to travel in all the way from Orissa, and sit through the conference the whole day. Recent terrorist incidents and attempts in the United States have drawn greater attention to domestic radical extremism. These incidents have challenged law enforcement and intelligence agencies, as well as-Muslim American communities in their efforts to identify and prevent radicalization and acts of terrorism within the United States.
The National Security Network and the Center for American Progress Action Fund joined for an insightful conversation on these issues with Congressman Keith Ellison and our distinguished panel of experts. The panel explored the causes of Islamist radicalization and how to create an effective strategy that prevents terrorist attacks while working with affected communities.
