When things lose their colour and you feel as if your not perfect for this world, remember practice makes perfect so dont get upset about that damn f#*ck@n eyeliner not being straight lined....no one can see it after a few drinks anyway.
I was after a grainy effect smiles....just me actually wanting grainy pics for once in my life.....well maybe two or more times.

When I had more free time to pursue my hobbies...
I have weakness in my eye vision (both physical and photographic), For me it is difficult to see the scene in ultra-wide angle perspective.
Photographers need to organize the space within the frame. When you have wide angle lens, you need to move a lot in order to find a different view and also you need to get really close to your subject.
Sometimes when you shoot architecture and buildings, there is physical limitations that prevent you to get closer to your subject.
I need more practice with my new wide angle zoom 10-24mm,

Jessie practicing her ballet moves before class in the open studio next to the one where her class is held. For such a clumsy girl, she can be pretty graceful. :D

Around 6pm every day I leave the office. Following morning I find my desk clean and ready to be used. Magic?
This is going to be the last photo from my test walk in London - there are too many things going on! For die-hard fans (are there any???) a few more photos from this evening I put on Picasa.
Thank you for your visit, comments and faves!

Cuarto intento...
April 13, 2015
"Luck is a very thin wire between survival and disaster, and not many people can keep their balance on it." - Hunter S. Thompson

It was gorgeous today; the sun was high and the wind was warm. It truly feels like spring might actually be blowing in after a long winter.
I took advantage of the nice weather and took a stroll over my lunch hour, as I walked through Confederation Park I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people out and about.
For the past few months I've been the only person walking through the park over the lunch hour and today it was crowded, each bench was taken and the water fountain (that's not yet running) was surrounded by people.
Seems the entire city was suffering from cabin fever and today's warmth has drawn them out.
When I happened upon this person tight-roping I knew I'd found my photo for the day; such a unique sight for downtown Ottawa that I just couldn't resist.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

******************************************************************************
The Roseate Spoonbill is a wading bird of the ibis and spoonbill family. This species feeds in shallow fresh or coastal waters by swinging its bill from side to side as it steadily walks through the water, often in groups. The spoon-shaped bill allows it to sift easily through mud. It feeds on crustaceans, aquatic insects, frogs, newts and very small fish ignored by larger waders. The Roseate Spoonbill nests in shrubs or trees, often mangroves, laying 2 to 5 eggs, which are whitish with brown markings. Immature birds have white, feathered heads, and the pink of the plumage is paler. They are extremely agile high in the treetops. (They are often confused with the flamingo.)

Estuve practicando largo y tendido low key lighting porque la profe no me aprobo con el primer intento 😉 (kidding).
Segundo intento: el mas ambicioso y el que mas problemas me ha dado.... Tengo una relacion de amor/odio con los reflejos.

Another image I shot from when I went to Birmingham the other day! Thank you to @richjjones for the really good advice and life lessons, I learnt a lot from this day! I hope to shoot more and better composed images in the future. One big thing I took away from that day is that setting your camera aside and exploring your subject is better than just rushing to take the image!

This is yet another image of my nest work and offers a behavioral shot of a Red-shouldered Hawk chick beginning to think about the fledge by flapping his/her wings and obtaining a bit of lift off from the nest. And it is showing growth getting some pin feathers which is necessary to hold his wing structure together for flight.
This is a still life I did when I heard about the news of earthquake in Japan in 2011.
There are more earthquakes this year in many parts of the world and we have thoughts for the people in those areas.
Wish you a good day!
The following is the original story posted in 2011.
It is the rainy weekend. Tears for the suffering people in Japan.
I am staying at home and practice my still life pictures again. I borrowed from my wife three dried mushrooms and tried different arrangements.
Three mushrooms still life is done with my 105mm macro lens in the kitchen.
After the still life pictures, the sun comes out. Hope and light is always out there.
Jessie won't normally practice in front of me if I have my camera ready. And when I ask if I can take some pictures of her posing, she refuses me (most of the time). This morning, she was practicing while I pretended to be cleaning my camera lens...and then I just blindly shot this. :)
Repetition, often until being completely worn out, is what DREAMS are made of. Shot with a Sony NEX-5T.
