Taking advantage of the near empty beach in Daytona, I wanted to try making a surreal photo with a practical effect. I simply had my model lay down on the sand completely flat. All I had to do was rotate the picture 90 degrees in order to complete the effect. I made sure to crop so that the ocean/beach barrier was right down the middle of the frame to create symmetry. In Lightroom, I darkened the blue sky so that the left side contrasted with the right side to fit with the symmetrical theme.
This picture is relevant to my concentration because the 90 degree tilt adds a surreal element, because it looks like the model is stuck to a wall rather than lying on a beach.
