The monsoon looks like it's going to take a little break as it searches for more powerups. This was a fun one from last week, August 11th, looking south of Flagstaff. It had a little bit of directional shear to work with and managed to get sculpted in various ways as it headed south.

Strobist info - Razor sat on black acrylic. Metz 48af1 on 1/4 power with blue and green combo-powerup-super-whiizo gel joiner. Canon 430ez on 1/4 power into a brolly box overhead to light the razor. No PS.
this reminds me of those amusement park 'whak-a-mole' games where you have a fuzzy hammer and you have to try to mash the gopher as it quickly pops in & out of various holes.
I've wanted to experiment with evolving the PM figs and moving them away from looking too Minion-esque. All-lime green is my first choice (to match their vehicles) but I lack parts to do more than one.
They all have specialised armour and equipment for crushing, cutting and drilling rock. I'm not 100% convinced that it works but it's always fun messing with figs.

Project 365 // Day 223
I have been on a Mario kick lately, so this latest entry is dedicated to those little yellow question mark boxes that helped us power through levels in Mario games. They sometimes contained just coins, but they usually gave us some sort of special item, whether it's the mushroom, fire flower, leaf, feather, wing cap or the always awesome star. But the real question is, who put these helpful little boxes everywhere? Why would Bowser allow them all over his castle, giving Mario the power he needs to defeat him? I guess we might never know.

The white triangle crosshair guides you to the checkpoints that you must pass. Hold the left mouse button to accelerate, move the mouse to steer, and click the right mouse button or press the spacebar to use a powerup. There are two types of powerups: Boosts and Lasers. Boosts make you faster, and lasers can stun opponents in front of you. Watch out: the competition can use powerups too!

It's been awhile didn't post anything lately. The theme of taking pictures with the reality world haven't finished yet! This time is with my KTM MOC. Still working in progress though. Ignore the guy jogging there, will snap this in a better scenery later.

Figured it was time to build some larger gears. Was a lot of fun designing them and then getting them to mesh. May also use them as tractor wheels or the core of some large build.
This is my lego star power-up from the Super Mario franchise. If you saw my last upload where I made the same power-up with another design. This design was from ”lego city: undercover” and though it is a cool star design, it just doesn't look like the one from the Mario games.
This new design has a more accurate shape and includes the eyes that can be seen on a lot of the mushroom kingdom’s objects and items.
