Colorado Springs, CO - Due to both of their tumultuous and mysterious pasts it was inevitable that they would meet in a showdown.

Ursus 250 - directly from the 70's

Ursus 250 - direttamente dagli anni 70

The old city was, for the most part quiet, the occasional animal aside. Tibor and Alina quickly made their way due west. Navigating the old city wasn't easy, collapsed streets and other impassable terrain made old maps fairly useless and travelling takes much longer then before the Choke. As they came upon an old market square their audio receptors picked up noise of powertools. They readied their weapons, odds were high rippers were about.

Alina was on edge "Shit, you hear that, do you think..."

"Easy now, keep your rifle down, we don't know what's ahead just yet." Tibor was a bit more relaxed, he had a few run-ins with rippers before. It was a price paid by making a living out in the lawless territories, rippers were essentially criminal gangs who preferably picked off lone Proxies to scrap for parts for personal use or resale on the black market.

As they entered the square their suspicions were confirmed. "Let's get them, we got to help!" Alina exclaimed.

"It's too late for that poor sod, no point." Tibor remarked calmly, he noticed one lookout was keeping it's camera on them while the other two were busy dissecting.

Alina however was pissed "But we've got to.."

TIbor cut her off "NO we don't, let's keep moving. While they're still bussy. And make sure we're not being followed."

Upset Aline agreed. "Ok, fine."

Such is life, in the badlands. Freedom, at a price.

This one we had to move back and leave all our gears unattended. A risk worth taking, for me personally.

Watch out where you point that thing....it may be loaded. Power tool class on a roof top in Key West. Space still available.

There were several Desoutter Brothers and the story goes that Marcel, an earlier aviator who lost a leg in an accident, turned to his brother Charles to help design a replacement limb. This, made from lightweight duralumin, was such a success Marcel returned to flying and the brothers developed a business based around precision drilling tools that were required for such artifical limbs.

By 1920 the company were in business based at The Hyde, in Hendon, north London - close to the Hendon aerodrome and indeed Marcel did at one point start an aircraft construction company albeit based at Croydon having left "the Brothers" concern. Desoutter prospered moving into a wider range of tooling for various growth industries of the day such as automotive and aircraft. The name survives although they are now based in France. The Desoutters took two pages of advertising in the programme - apt for a local concern with aeronautical links.

Used a Titanium Nitride (TiN) drill bit (easily identified by the gold like colour). Had taken quite a few shots before this one from different angles, but didnt find any of them really appealing until I used some DIY Blue gel to get this lighting. In hindsight, I should have used a reflector on the right.

A little project I just whipped up over a couple of nights..

One of my favourite tools in my kit....

we're here doing some DIY home decor

An inside view of O'Gorman Motor Works at Prior Park in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Date: Monday, 30 April 1934

NLI Ref.: P_WP_4044

DIY project number 4023a.

739 lbs. of rock slab cut for the fireplace hearth.

I have like a Portrait wall (4x6 pictures) inside my home studio of all the people I have photographed, but there is a window in the top, so I am working on a project to seal that window to make my wall bigger, which explains the power tools and scrap wood in this shot. Still need to continue with this project tomorrow. I have built 3 DIY shelves and 1 DIY frame for the mirror in my home studio. And I’m still planning to make a cool Jigsaw puzzle shelf in the near future.

“The Benign Tumor, Part 3” (or maybe part 4)

So, got a 2nd Opinion. I liked this Doctor better than the first one, event though I needed to pay for consult because it wasn’t covered by the health insurance. But he told me that the clicking sound was really a normal thing, and if it doesn’t hurt, then it’s fine. And he thinks that the Mass is just Muscle, which I agree, because I squeeze my upper and lower molar together, so I kinda exercise my muscle in my jaw that’s why it became bigger, and the left one is bigger because I ALWAYS Chew on my left side. :) but he said that if I want, cause he was just 97% sure that it was muscle.. I can get a CT scan just to be sure what it is, cause it’s the only way to know what the mass is.. So I still don’t know if I will get a CT scan.. but if it’s Digital, then F*** it! Hahaha.. I want those large format X-ray films for my 365!

Question for the day: What did you have for Dinner? :) (even if it is yesterday’s dinner) Just curious.. :p

I had some chicken and rice from kennyrogersroasters

In the middle of the shoot I realized I was shooting at ISO 800 ( I always shoot at ISO 200 when using strobist) but I was lazy to change it and to adjust all the strobes..

Last month I came home to find that the area of my floorboard that my seat belt anchors to in my Jeep Wrangler had completely rusted away and was dangling underneath the vehicle. So, I called my good friend Shane who is welder and I went over to his garage to both watch and help him attach new metal to the floorboard. Shane's not one who likes his photograph taken but he didn't mind if I focused on what he was doing. After a while I couldn't focus much on anything because he made me four 32 oz. spiced rum and diet orange Fanta mixed drinks in about 2 hours and they tasted like orange push pops. Needless to say I was quite inebriated, which is a story left best untold.

I designed this life-size model of the Nexo precision torque wrench for a project with Bosch Rexroth and Playwell Bricks.

The design captures the tool's ergonomic curvature, and 15 custom decals capture many surface detatils, bringing the model to life. The removable battery feature adds a touch of interactivity to the model.

Three days before, the signal box by the level crossing was removed and the work now consists of restoring the road barriers, pavements and associated areas.

I told Hadley I needed a picture of a power tool. He is an overachiever. This was taken at our 43 acres north of our home. Round 112 ANSH: power tools

To a beautiful place. Probably among the few sweet places to catch the glimpse of the first light of the day. Also among the few easily accessible places to shoot the milky way. Quite sad to see this place being shut down but life goes on. Out with the old, in with the new. They said.

Also a tribute to our trusty torch. You have served us well. Same as what they said. Out with the etcetera etcetera.

Thanks for the awesome memories. Till we meet again.
