A few words about this great place. The road leading to the sea from Umbria has to cross the mountains. This road crosses one of the most beautiful parts of the Apennines
Marchigiano Umbro. This rushing river had to dig the mountain. Its color is emerald green, the area is pristine and is always very cold. In summer also pulls very strong wind.
Even as a child along this road spellbound me to look at the height of the mountains and the wonder of this water.
The river is called Candigliano.

This gorge has been created by Iceland's mighty Jökulsá á Fjöllum river, which also creates the largest waterfalls with Dettifoss reputedly being the most powerfull in Europe and Selfoss also being of considerable size. These landscapes form part of the Vatnajoekull National Park North and are a real treat for the eyes if you are up to some good hikes to get there.
Dettifoss is a waterfall in Vatnajökull National Park in Northeast Iceland, and is the most powerful waterfall in Europe.

It is 45 m high, 100m across, has a large volume of water and is considered the mst powerfull waterfall in Europe. Jokulsa a Flollum originates uder Dyngjujokull glacier on the northern edge of the great Vatnajokull glacier. North Iceland.

Wednesday night's sunset....I was prepping the pool for closure this upcoming weekend while keeping an eye on the sky. It got to about 7PM and I figured we might get a good one. It was windy this evening so a reflection with a pond was out of the question with too much water movement. So I had this shot that I imagined a couple weeks back that I would use when I have little time to decide where to go. So I packed my gear and headed to this location and was not disappointed with the sunset. It was a little weird standing under these power lines for about 45 minutes listening to the sizzle and pop when that much electricity flows through these lines.
Yes..... it was that bright with the yellows and oranges.
