Well I'm baby sitting tonight as my wife has organised a girly night out with some of the other mums and was just about to head to bed and grab an early night when I realised I'd not taken my picture for the day.
I sat down at my computer to turn it on and spotted my kindle charger next to the keyboard, quick spot of ghetto lighting from the desk lamp and away we go...
Done, now bed.
EDIT: Replaced this morning, somehow managed to reset the white balance during the export... back to how the colours really look.

a colleague of mine told me how his Nokia suffered from a broken pin for the powerconnector. Now on these Nokias, these connectors are really small. He was unsure how much that would set him back at some repairshop. Then I told him I was willing to have a look at it and so I did.
The connector on the phone is a modular little thing, which could be replaced. But hey, I wanted to repair it! I made a hole through and through with a needle and put the copper of a UTP-cable through there. It's a tight fit on the poweradapter, which is nice.

Without them (l to r: iPhone in case (laptop replacement) and power cords compatible with both the iPhone and this BlackBerry Pearl I'm sending this on). It's amazing my backpack weighs less than 20 pounds fully loaded... I come well armed. Fortunately this pouch tucks nicely into my backpack to securely hide my inner geekness.

Yet another MagSafe power adapter. I don't like the new L-shaped thing though. And what's with yet another power rating? This one's a 45W adapter now.

Some wires that used to be attached to useful things, remaining after I moved my desk across the room.
It's unclear how many of these are actually still useful.
This was the cause of my laptop's demise. I tried to fit it back in, but the connection simply wouldn't take when I plugged it into the laptop. I had to go on Amazon for a new adapter. But I started a free trial of Amazon Prime, so I got it shipped in two days for free, and I'll probably get some more books before the trial's over, then cancel it before I get charged the yearly fee.

Of it's own accord my TiBook power adapter started sparking and generally catching fire. Fortunately I was around to unplug it. I went to the Apple Store in London and bought a replacement - £55! That's a lot for a power transformer in my opinion.
The later models have a reinforced flex at the cable entry point so I'm hoping it won't happen again.
Two favorites..Nathan's unintended birthday gift — a swell Sparkfun accessory pint sized mug. I had actually tossed one in my shopping cart on a whim yesterday only to come home yesterday evening to a parcel waiting for me.
And the other thing? A Macbook Pro power adapter? So, my Macbook came with a power cord but no power adapter? I fracking tore the house apart looking for it because I just sort of assumed I took it out and it got away? But, no dice. And I've only had the laptop for one day and it hadn't gone anywhere, so it's not like I had a chance to leave it behind. My conclusion was that it was never in the box (I had been using a second backup adapter I also got.) Souris goaded me to call Apple ("Use your voice, yo!") so I did and 10 minutes later I was told one was on its way, expect it in a few or four days. That was yesterday around 2p. It arrived this morning. I mean..
