Poland, Łódź, Art Nouveau power plant of Karol Scheibler's factory, built in 1910 according to the design of the Latvian engineer Alfred Frisch. The uniqueness of the building is not only the fact that it is a very rare example of Art Nouveau industrial architecture, but also a construction technique that was innovative at the time. The structure of the building is made of reinforced concrete.
Second picture of the series Wave Power.
(The following image is an example of what that might be changing a photograph as it influences the light and the technique used. For this shot had not yet left the sun, and long exposure time created that totally different to the previous photo)
Sunrise on the beautiful village of Villajoyosa -Alicante-.
That day was blowing east wind, the waves crashed against the shore, tranquility in place...
The sun is not out of the horizon yet, nothing left to see how the power of the sea struck again and again against the shore.
Spectacles of nature that gives us every day and that lack of time sometimes do not appreciate.
To achieve this photograph I used a four-step filter and black card technique.
Image dedicated to my friend on Flickr Julián Solana (Tiogran), who met him in person that morning in his wonderful land.
I hope you like it. Have a nice Monday. :)

Winter
Normally a death trap in the warmer months., with slippy moss covered rocks making crossing the water. tricky. The cold weather has killed off a lot of the moss and the rocks now have more of an orange tint. One of those locations that looks great all year round.
Back in 2007, Union Pacific had a plethora of new power roaming the rails. A new GE ES44AC pilots a Long Beach - Global 2 stack train through colorful foliage east out of Ogden, Utah on Oct. 27, 2007. I suppose we won't see big fleets of new locomotives on the UP for the time being. Management has determined that rebuilding what they already have is most cost effective.
On the west side of Daggett, a power move heads through the interlocking with three BNSF units and a Santa Fe GP60. At this point, traffic was booming and crews were short, so it was common for BNSF to build road trains at Barstow and store them on sidings on the Needles Sub until a crew was ready to take them east. I suspect that was the reason behind this power move.
Men are mad with power and the pursuit of it. It's really quite sad and pathetic.
Terrific Thursday to you.
Former power plant, which operated from 1911-2001.

Drax power station. The only coal powered station still under power, but burning wood pellets imported from the US. Once the most powerful power station in the UK, producing 6% of the UK power. Many questions over its sustainable credentials...but it does make or a good photo.
