There is a Poutine Fest in Downtown Ottawa. This is one of the many vendors on the strip. I really like the paint job on this one.

i.e. with a roux, a white chicken-stock and flour gravy (presumably), called simply 'sauce blanche' (white sauce).
I enjoyed this simple variation on the classic, traditional poutine. Tasty, and attractive. :)

The gravy was replaced by triple-hot sauce.
And there were banana peppers and jalapenos, to boot, as you see.
I enjoyed it, but I won't do it ever again; it was one of those once-in-a-lifetime, bucket list type experiences, not to be repeated. ;)

I've had their donair burger before, so I knew I would enjoy their donair poutine - and I did, even though technically not a poutine since no gravy, just donair sauce. But lots of it, with onions and tomatoes and donair meat and cheese curds and fries. Who cares; it was great, even if not a proper poutine. :)
