Tenía enfocado al macho de Onychogomphus costae y de momento curvó el abdomen con esta postura tan curiosa y deduzco que está limpiando con la pata trasera derecha algún resto de suciedad.
Fotograma recortado 12% y adaptado formato panorámico.

He had focused on the male of Onychogomphus costae and for the moment he curved his abdomen with this curious posture and I deduce that he is cleaning some dirt with his right hind leg.

This new plant in our garden seemed dormant for some time, then it began to produce one passion flower per week and now it gives several at a time.
The bees seem unable to understand the intricate structure of the flowers which is perhaps why the plant has produced no fruit.

La photo de rue, ce n'est pas tant une photo de la banalité qu'une photo de la cocasserie anodine...
Et en l'occurrence, la première source de cocasserie, ce sont les postures de nos amis badauds et travailleurs dans le "bon" contexte... :-))
A lot of posturing and theatrics but eventually they just walked off in separate directions

Adult chickweed geometers typically rest with wings held flat out to the sides. Forewings are pointed and dull yellow; each has a pinkish or reddish spot near the center of the wing. Two pinkish or reddish bands parallel the edges of the wings; in the typical resting posture, the bands on the forewings appear continuous with the bands on the hindwings. The antennae of males are featherlike; those of females are threadlike.
Larvae are slender, but thickened and rough at the first abdominal segment. Variable in color, with green and white stripes or checkered and mottled with colors including brown, tan, and red. Geometers (“earth measurers”) are the familiar “inchworms” that hump their backs (forming a “loop”) when they move the rear set of legs up to the front set, before moving the front set forward for the next “step.”
Very common in vacant lots, weedy roadsides, and yards in urban areas, as well as in the countryside, in fields and grasslands. Larvae feed on chickweeds (Stellaria species) and other low-growing plants such as smartweed and clover.
Adults fly from mid-April through October, often during the day. This moth is multibrooded. Larvae pupate in a thin cocoon. (Missouri

As we were walking back to the car, my husband noticed this pretty moth flutter up from the trail. I moved in to take a photo, having never seen such a moth before. I used the app "Seek" to identify the moth. No idea what it was sitting on.

Sometimes it seems that Swallows never stop to perch, but that was not the case for this Barn Swallow at Huntley Meadows Park. It perched right on the boardwalk railing and didn't seem to mind me being there at all.
