我们进了台湾,出关后,就马上买了Easy Card(悠游卡)用于交通,在此谢谢博士,他事先做了这个功课。每张卡100元(卡费不退),每次充值即可(7-11都可以为你充值)。基本上所有的公共交通工具都可以用它,有些地方甚至可以用它购物。而且也不受地域影响,很方便。我们从宜兰到武陵的客运,也用了它。
在台北,我们有时会困惑,因为有些公车上车刷卡,有些是下车刷,每次上车时都要留神车内的显示牌。高雄就不同,所有的都一样,上下都刷,起点是NT12,每8km后加价。两天后,在车内无意中读它的电子显示牌(台湾每辆车都有,在报站之间不断播放很多政府的公告等),一下子看到,高雄公交的新政策,说是当日二次刷卡后,就免费坐车了,顿时像捡到了宝,赶快share给博士:真的吗?要不我们试试看?
一试,真的!(不适用于地铁)第三次开始,每次还是要刷,但显示的就是“扣款:0”,这对努力穷游的我们来说当然是货真价实的好消息。于是,白天去爬山或游泳什么的,只要有转车的,回程就是免费了,晚上的夜市之旅就更是如此。这真是惠民的好政策,我们喜欢!
我们住的地方,出门向右50m,就是河畔风景优美的“爱河”(真会起名字),河的两侧散步道边都是古老的榕树, 每隔不多远就有一座桥架在河上,桥头有某某人的题字“XX桥” (一般是当任市长之类的,这点和大陆挺像)。我们附近的两座桥间距可能还不到200m,走到桥的斜对面就是家乐福。在高雄,没有很高的山,我们通常10点左右出去,下午三四点回来,去海边也是这样。回来的路上经过家乐福,就买水果和一些简单的食物,以水果为主。这里的菠萝(NT75/个)有去皮服务,所以每次必买,特别甜,特别juicy,超好吃。另一种必买的就是火龙果,NT45/斤(台湾的一斤是600g),是温哥华没有的味道。其他的水果就没法推荐了,苹果都是论个卖,大概NT20-25/个,又不怎么样,觉得好贵啊。香蕉也是论根的,一般NT20/根。西瓜巨大,不太甜。
我本来主观地认为超市里的熟食不会太好吃(总是想到大统华),第一次试着每样只买一点点,鱼(补充蛋白质)、炒米粉、肉、毛豆等,拿回宾馆后,博士吃得很香,我也有同感,琢磨着为什么会这样,后来找了个解释:台湾好吃的东西太多,又到处可以吃到,如果做得不好,谁还会来买呢?此后几天,去家乐福便也成了routine的一部分,不仅解决了我们的下午和早晨的snack(晚上自然去夜市,那是主餐),而且出来后沿着河边散步,更是一种难得的享受。早餐伴咖啡的点心,是博士每天要求的,某人美其名曰“priming”,我心里暗想:有条件的时候,可以这样priming,好矫情的习惯!(想想工作时养老院里的每一位,有谁为你prime?现在的我们是多么幸福)
在高雄的六天,交通最经济,酒店最便宜但条件最好(超强功能的空调、还有冰箱)且紧邻爱河,有最旺人气的夜市。更重要的,是有最自由的海滩,就是因为这自由,留住了我们,而且离开后,至今还念念不忘!(待续)

black headed gull, (larus ridibundus) in it's winter plumage, the dark spot behind it's eye. which will soon start to turn to it's breeding plumage of a dark brown chocolate coloured head. this is the smallest of the common gulls, and in winter it may be confused with the common gull (larus canus) this one was perched on one of the new fence posts, soaking up the early morning sunshine at the kiln green. langholm, dumfriesshire, scotland.

Mine are the green toes. You can tell because my skin is the most pale.
My mother is the foot in a sock. She doesn't like pedicures but we didn't want to leave her out.
