An HDR treatment of a photo taken from about a quarter mile away. I used Photomatix to do the post-processing.

Took photo of a stone carving of a coat of arms.

In Photoshop:-

• Magnetic Lasso, to go around edge of shield, then cut and pasted to a transparent background

• Find Edges

• Adjusted Contrast

• Converted to Greyscale

• Converted to Duotone (yellow)

• Magic Wand to select white areas, using "Similar"

• Converted to RGB Colour

• Used Fill, with black

• Saved as PNG file to save transparent background

Fall colors with a bit of CS3 Velvia. Notice the wierd... almost Matthew Brady-like bokeh in the lower righ corner. It give that false shallow look I LOVE and am constantly chasing with my fast f1.4 glass.

  

Taken by my WalMart Global Points camera which goes up to a whopping 1.3 interpolated MP. It's a digital plasticam/junkcam. I'd classify it as the digital lomo.

 

Note; This is not how sharp they come from this beautiful disaster of a cam. :)
