Aussicht vom Bantiger

The Bantiger is the local mountain of the Bernese, visible from afar, its lookout tower is present in the whole area. I took one of my grandchildren with me and together we enjoyed the view. Although I don't really like the popular lookouts, of course I took a few pictures.
Der Bantiger ist der weithin sichtbare Hausberg der Berner, sein Aussichtsturm ist in der ganzen Umgebung präsent. Ich habe einen meiner Enkel mitgenommen und zusammen haben wir die Aussicht genossen. Obwohl ich die populären Aussichtspunkte eigentlich nicht so mag, habe ich natürlich ein paar Bilder gemacht.

The story behind the picture:
My eldest son and I set out early in the morning for a distinctive location in the Swiss Alps. Jonah was up there in his military mission and was enthusiastic about the mountains. Once there we could only marvel at the steep rock faces and the magnificent view. We could look from there up to Germany. Most impressive was this house on the rocks. What a work! How much work is behind it? After all, this wooden house stands on a rock and in a rugged mountain landscape, which can be dangerous. We enjoyed this sight and hiked from there to a lower mountain lake, which you will might see later on my page. Hope so. By the way, my son is in the photo. No, no, not the man with the red backpack who climbs up the stairs tiredly. No, mine is the one who picks him up. Ha, ha....

Ich liebe Katzen, aber ich bin leider Allergiker, so dass wir keine eigene haben. Und die Katzen, die unseren Garten als Katzenwanderweg nutzen, sind meist zu scheu für eine Nahaufnahme.
Aber ich hoffe, meine Sammlung aus alter Postkarte und Briefmarken ist für das Thema auch in Ordnung.
I love cats, but unfortunately I'm allergic, so we don't have any of our own. And the cats that use our garden as a cat walk are usually too shy for a close-up.
But I hope my collection of an old postcard and stamps is okay for this topic.

LUHMANSCHE VILLA UM 1925 am Oberbach
Zur Geschichte:
Der Friedrich-Engels-Ring 35 ist erstmals im „Adreßbuch der Vorderstadt Neubrandenburg“ aus dem Jahr 1893 zu finden – damals jedoch noch unter der Adresse „An der Linde 2“. Eine Postkarte aus dem Jahr 1902 zeigt bereits das heutige Gebäude. Das genaue Baujahr des Hauses ist bisher jedoch nicht bekannt. Im Adressbuch für Neubrandenburg aus dem Jahr 1913 ist dann erstmals der Kommerzienrat Louis Luhmann als Eigentümer überliefert.
Dieser Familie Luhmann verdankt das Haus seinen bis heutige geläufigen Beinamen „Luhmann-Villa“. Nach seinem Tod blieb das Haus im Familienbesitz. Das Adressbuch von 1927/1928 gibt die Witwe des Kommerzienrats, Johanna Luhmann, selbst zu dem Zeitpunkt wohnhaft in der Morgenlandstraße 7, als Besitzerin an. Bewohnt wurde die Villa zu der Zeit von dem Ministerialrat a. D. Dr. jur. Fritz Luhmann, tätig als Rechtsanwalt und Notar, und dem Angestellten Josef Müller. Nach dem Krieg wurde das Haus enteignet.
Noch bis zum Ende der 1940er Jahre wohnten die Luhmanns im Obergeschoss bis sie dann in den Westen gingen. In den 1960er Jahre musste ein Großteil der historischen Gebäude An der Linde, insbesondere auf der ehemaligen Ostseite der Straße, dem Ausbau des heutigen Friedrich-Engels-Rings weichen. Ebenfalls um diese Zeit zog der „Klub der Intelligenz“ (KDI) in das Gebäude. Nach der Wende befand sich hier eine Zeit lang die Gaststätte „bei Jaqueline“.
Später wurde das Gebäude an den früheren Eigentümer, Fritz Luhmann, rückübertragen. Der Eigentümer hat inzwischen erneut gewechselt, das prominente Haus am Stadteingang steht jedoch inzwischen seit längerer Zeit leer.
