A heat map of number of gall-causing species in each hectare (100m grid square) at Attenborough Nature Reserve.

 

Data were extracted from MapMate, loaded into Postgres linked to hectare polygons of the British National Grid and the data displayed against an OS OpenSpace StreetView tile using Quantum GIS.

 

Unfortunately, QGIS does not conveniently produce a legend for this. The darkest square (see note) represents 34 records.
