The day after Christmas, a hot tip of an all blue lashup on POAY was getting ready. Making it to where the cloud line was ending. Hi flickr. I'm back well untill saturday. I have been to Cornwall fora brake and then on sunday i'm off to Turkey to shot a wedding. :-) So i'll be around till Saturday at least.
I have been very keen to share this image with you all. This vertorama was a joy to capture and the sun painted a dull sea in a very powerful manor. A true photo fairie. Cause the sky crap. really rubish up to this point. Cheers Solar. :-)

Posted for the Happy Caturday theme "Paws".
Sorry, not a great photo and not really what I wanted but due to a lack of time and a lack of cooperation by the cats I had to take a last minute photo for this theme this morning. Somehow our cats don't like to show their paws especially if they know that the paws are what you are interested in. I had longer discussions with Tofu before I finally managed to take this shot.

Another early start for Tony and I saw us at Windy Post on Dartmoor in time for a glorious dawn display.
For centuries this lone cross has stood upon the bleak moorland with just the murmuring Grimstone and Sortridge Leat for company. English Heritage notes on its Pastscape Record that the cross is of medieval origin and date it to between 1400 and 1499. It would seem that the purpose of the Windy Post was to act as a marker of the Tavistock to Ashburton trans-moor track which in effect was an early medieval route which connected Buckfast and Tavistock abbeys.
