When I stumble upon Philip Glass's NPR interview(goo.gl/if8jJC) back then, what he said about style really struck a chord with me.
"In order to arrive at a personal style, you have to have a technique to begin with. In other words, when I say that style is a special case of technique, you have to have the technique — you have to have a place to make the choices from. If you don't have a basis on which to make the choice, then you don't have a style at all. You have a series of accidents."
Creating this one today made me remember what he said. If I look back to my previous similar works (me in the water) the final outputs of those are just accidents. I don't know how I arrived at the final image but I was able to do it. The reason why I keep on going back to a similar theme is to keep on creating accidents and for me to discover something along the process. Improvements happen in really small increments. You won't notice the difference of your work between today and yesterdays/last week but if you compare it to last year's or even years before you'll see a huge difference.
Today was not an accident.
After so much repetition you do get to figure out the dynamic structure of a piece. And it becomes a technique to add to your style.

Got to do a little shoot for this duo: Universe. I've known Miles for about 9 months now, passing by him on my way into my office, often dropping by his coffee stand that sits in the courtyard of the building. Never in a million years would I have know he had his own band, but he probably didn't know I was a photography. It's really is something when we sit back and let the universe do its thing.
