This year was full of difficulties… But after I joined Flickr in the summer , I was fortunate to make your friendship. In commemoration of this year I will upload some older works again today and tomorrow. Those are from my older and lost photostream.
Those of you who are on FB might have seen it already. For all others, my new portfolio website is here.
Architecture in popular tourist resorts could seem dull, while at second look light, pattern or detail can be fascinating.

The third stage of contest "Portfolio". OMG, I hated myself, the task, tablet and all world two weeks later. There were a lot of ideas - and any of them didn't manage to be embodied. At first I wished to make this, then this, then this, this, and - finally – this. All came to end equally: I switched off Photoshop, disconnected tablet and went to smoke.
At last, I could force myself)

I'm going to leave Tokyo for Europe the day after tomorrow, so I'm afraid it might be difficult to look at your pictures for 3 weeks…
Well, I'll stay in Paris, Brussels and Thuin, Belgium where I participate in a collective exhibition called "LITTLE BIG WEB". The exhibition is organized by André Fromont and my friends, Viki Olner and Youichi Shidomoto also take part in it. It must be an exciting exhibition because of its diversity and intension. The opening will be held on Nov. 16. Come and enjoy it, if you like!
I finished 3-week travel in Europe.
When I was in Lodz, Poland, I asked a friend what key industries in Lodz were. He answered me immediatelyー"Nothing".
I'll upload these old pictures one or two more times.
This project started on July 1st. in 1997, that is, the day of the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong and continued for half a year. I took more than 10,000 pieces of night shots. After 13 years of vacuum, I decided to reopen photography seriously in 2010 and started taking pictures mainly at night again…

I usually relax here in Shanghai but now I feel nervous because the relations between Japan and China are going from bad to worse…
