Ponderings
A series of semi-abstract photos of water features with vegetation, in which the light seems to play a game with our perception. The works not only contain reflections, but perhaps also invite us to reflect. From this principle, the name Ponderings originated.
I have some ten thousand photos of the series and I intend to upload some of them after this. But I'll leave Japan for Europe the day after tomorrow and stay there for three weeks, so probably I'll upload the new series taken in Europe for the time being. But I've not found out how I should take a photo in Europe yet…

This project started on July 1st. in 1997, that is, the day of the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong and continued for half a year. I took more than 10,000 pieces of night shots. After 13 years of vacuum, I decided to reopen photography seriously in 2010 and started taking pictures mainly at night again…
