I love the spiral staircase in the Rookery Building in Chicago, but my images never felt complete. I mirrored the staircase to create a more satisfyingly complete infinity shape. This allows the viewer's eyes to travel around and around the spiral, enjoying the architecture more fully. 16mm 1/30@f4.0, ISO1250
The third stage of contest "Portfolio". OMG, I hated myself, the task, tablet and all world two weeks later. There were a lot of ideas - and any of them didn't manage to be embodied. At first I wished to make this, then this, then this, this, and - finally – this. All came to end equally: I switched off Photoshop, disconnected tablet and went to smoke.
At last, I could force myself)
O-Umi looks like an angel. Angel who sits in a corner with a neon lamp in hands, in the house of the mad person.

I'll upload these old pictures one or two more times.
This project started on July 1st. in 1997, that is, the day of the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong and continued for half a year. I took more than 10,000 pieces of night shots. After 13 years of vacuum, I decided to reopen photography seriously in 2010 and started taking pictures mainly at night again…
