The weather has not been kind these last few days. So the next best thing is to improvise a studio in the garage and get that Speedlite out !
Passed these old doors in an alley off Santa Monica Boulevard on our way to a popup Persian restaurant to pick up dinner after visiting the Getty Center.

A red panda at Kingussie Wildlife park.
About the Red Panda
The red panda is dwarfed by the black-and-white giant that shares its name. These pandas typically grow to the size of a house cat, though their big, bushy tails add an additional 18 inches (46 centimeters). The pandas use their ringed tails as wraparound blankets in the chilly mountain heights.
Habitat and Behavior
The red panda shares the giant panda's rainy, high-altitude forest habitat, but has a wider range. Red pandas live in the mountains of Nepal and northern Myanmar (Burma), as well as in central China.
These animals spend most of their lives in trees and even sleep aloft. When foraging, they are most active at night as well as in the gloaming hours of dusk and dawn.
Red pandas have a taste for bamboo but, unlike their larger relatives, they eat many other foods as well—fruit, acorns, roots, and eggs. Like giant pandas, they have an extended wrist bone that functions almost like a thumb and greatly aids their grip.
Breeding and Population
They are shy and solitary except when mating. Females give birth in the spring and summer, typically to one to four young. Young red pandas remain in their nests for about 90 days, during which time their mother cares for them. (Males take little or no interest in their offspring.)
The red panda has given scientists taxonomic fits. It has been classified as a relative of the giant panda, and also of the raccoon, with which it shares a ringed tail. Currently, red pandas are considered members of their own unique family—the Ailuridae.
Red pandas are endangered, victims of deforestation. Their natural space is shrinking as more and more forests are destroyed by logging and the spread of agriculture.

This will be the last OOB photo I'll post for now but expect more in the future. Glad you liked this series. Thank you for your wonderful comments.
I'll start putting my watermark on my photos again as per my wife's suggestion. If you noticed, my previous photos don't have watermarks on them, it's because I started embedding a Copyright Notice in the EXIF data lately.
Sorry everyone, I haven't been active on flickr these past few days. Just really busy with alot of things. Terribly sorry as I am really slow catching up. :-)
This is my entry for Lego Ideas "Create a Bricktastic Pop-Up Story" contest.

Amanheceu perfeitinha.
.:: Fim ::.
Gostaram do resultado do sanduíche meninas?

During the pandemic, our Sterling Heights Public Library has been closed. Which meant the the used bookstore in the library was closed also. The Friends of the Library recently set up a pop up used bookstore outside the library for people to browse and buy books. I hear it was quite popular, and another will be on August

Plaisirs d'hiver - Marche de noel 2019 - First Night
From 29 November to 5 January, this unmissable event is back in central Brussels, and with it the guarantee of spending magical moments in the city's streets and being lost in wonder on Grand-Place before the incredible sound and light show and stunning Christmas tree.
Also on the programme: the traditional big wheel, covered ice rink, chalets, merry-go-rounds and countless activities for young and old, not forgetting the art installations and illuminations that create a unique atmosphere in the capital. This year, we have a very big special guest, 55 cm to be precise: the Manneken-Pis, who will be celebrating his 400th birthday with a whole host of festive activities.
Every year, the City of Brussels works twice as hard to put on an even more enjoyable and seamless event for local people and our many international visitors. Last year, it attracted nearly three million! Its success also benefits hotels and businesses in the centre, which post impressive figures.
And to share the Christmas joy, the Winter Pop popup village will stop off in four areas of the city. Every weekend, free activities will be organized with community groups and local figures. Caravans, lights, firepits, all kinds of artists, music, games... For the third year, Winter Pop will spread the Winter Wonders' fairy dust across Brussels.
The City of Brussels and the organizers thank the Brussels's artists Guillaume Desmaret & Arnaud Debal of the Farm Prod collective for the realization of the visual of Winter Wonders 2019. www.farmprod-collective.be
