Travel memories 10 of 365
I lucked into a four-day weekend at the end of March, so after enduring a long, cold winter, I decided to make a quick trip to Guam, where I could warm my bones. Guam is only a three-hour flight from Tokyo, but I never had any desire to go -- figuring it would be overrun with Japanese tourists. But it turned out that aside from one small area, Guam is a lot closer to California than it is to Okinawa.
It was a great quick get-away. Not only warm climate, beautiful beaches and amazing snorkling, but also native culture, WWII ruins and cheap steaks.
BTW, this was my first digital holiday. I was shooting a Nikon E990 that Santa had brought me for Christmas 2000.

This was a very fun shoot to do even though it may have been awkward for the mom's while their children were having swim lessons. Especially since the kids were like, "Ooo Shiny!"
I'm very happy with how the color and lighting came out because all that was used was natural lighting.
