The Crested is a breed of domestic duck. It was probably brought to Europe from the East Indies by Dutch ships. It has its appearance because it is heterozygous for a genetic mutation causing a deformity of the skull.
It was a very pleasant afternoon for taking a walk ! I was happy to see this duck again today !

This small, spherical bloom is somewhat flat when young but fully round when mature. Sizes range from small button types to large disbudded blooms almost 4 inches in diameter. The florets incurve or reflex in a regular manner and fully conceal the center.
