The colors were tweaked a little :-)

For my "One of a kind" flower images project.

From the rooftops, attentive as ever, catching the rays of the winter sun.

Pompón and his classic "I don't give a damn" face...😼

Some time ago I visited APCA, an NGO for cats and farm animals, located in Uruguay in the department of Canelones.

APCA arises from the need to generate a safe place for the rehoming of colonies of feral, endangered or abused cats. They currently also have farm animals that have been rescued from human abuse.

The work they do is exceptional.

Among the animals rescued there are cases of cruelty, accidents, paralysis, cancer and other diseases, as well as cats that have been abandoned.

In viable cases, they are available for responsible adoption.

🐱 Remember Pompón? Our beloved feral cat, now a resident at the sanctuary, whom we saved from a tragic fate.

Here is another photo of him.

Alegres van a la guerra

con ese hermoso pompón.

Firmes aguardan la orden

con su fusil en la mano.

Serios, pues van a la guerra,

no saben qué les espera,

mas ellos llevan muy alto

el pompón sobre su casco

hasta que una bala traidora

tal vez lo deje tirado

y allí acabe la historia

del pompón sobre su casco.

Menos mal que esto no es

una guerra hecha y derecha,

y sólo ello quiere ser

una bonita representación

con pompón a la cabeza.
