Inspired by the pompom wreath here: bleubirdvintage.typepad.com/blog/2009/11/diy-pom-pom-wrea..., I made my own with only white pompoms. I've a got two different size pompom-makers and I used both of them for this. In all I made about 50 pompoms :). I love the softness and the whiteness of the wreath... I added the ribbon just for the look but will probably use the wreath without it, like it better that way.

Another recent buy from JJ for his bedroom! When his room is tidy (most of the time!), JJ's bedroom looks amazing, with his wall of pictures and fairy lights on a Smart plug, meaning he can ask Google to turn them on! I think he bought these 2 rows of pompoms from Etsy. I borrowed them for a photo, but they are now in his bedroom!

I recently got a super cute pompom making book, and this apple was one of the designs in it! My very clever boyfriend made the pompom tonight (it's only his second pompom ever! Can you believe it?) and I helped with the shaping. I also made the crochet leaf and stem too.
Next on the agenda, a burger pompom!

Pompom is the clue to its name – being a decorative ball of a flower.
These are smaller and rounder than Ball dahlias which have flattened tops - on a Pompom dahlia, the petals curve inwards to make a miniature and complicated flower in a size which is small for a dahlia but they are little gems and are suitable to fill most spaces to be found in a sunny border.
