big hugs from PARIS where we will be until the end of JUNE. i have to check the calender each day to see what country i,m susposed to be in! i can just see us being late for a trip! by a day! it,s hard for us to get our engines running even in PARIS!
speaking of running late= i started my day to take photos of the LOCKS OF LOVE on the PONT DES ARTS bridge really late:::the bridge is a pedestrians only bridge which has wire fencing on the sides: couples put a lock on the fence to proclaim their love for each other =they lock the lock= and then toss the key in the SEINE! really cool Several of the locks are major expensive deals =some have professional engravings=while other are simple locks with marker pen devotions of love. my favorite TO LIFE, LOVE, AND RED WINE!
There is one brass lock the size of one,s fist: it has the indian god GANASH the elephant god on it in relief. There are a couple wire bike locks and many USA STANDARD MASTER locks! one heart shaped lock! there were two purple locks that were intertwined! of course; that was my mom,s favorite lock! hahaha!
some areas of the fence are covered with hundreds of locks! only awhile before the city CLEAN UP CREW comes by again and saws them off! they did that last time to melt the metal for cash! When folks heard about that on tthe news , the PARIS couples came by en masse and put new LOCKS OF LOVE on the fence! There is literally hundreds if not a thousand locks on the fence now!
guess the goveernment has other things to do, for they are trying to change the retirement age from 60 to 64! of course, 76 percent of the FRENCH do not want any of that! the FRENCH SENATE had a televised debate which was sheer madness! last time adda saw such craziness was at the monkey cages at the zoo! they are expecting mass strikes if it gets even close to passing: ADDA belives the retirement age should be dropped down to 50! no wonder the PARIANS love me! hahaha
the WORLD CUP SOCCEER games which are so boring::::who woulda thought::::the JAPAN VS CAMERON game was so slow that the TV camera filmed a chickedee bird eating a worm on the playing field for a good one minute;;;during the game:::hahahaha The surjprize was SWISSYLAND goaling over SPAIN:::too funny, for at the LOUVRE we saw a school group with each person wearing the SPAINSH FLAG as a cape::::hahahaha
Some players are cute, but give me those rough and tough RUGBY player hunks battling it out for blood and mayhem just like the FRENCH SENATE!

Ieder jaar worden ze weer geëerd. De mannen van de vrijwillige brandweer die inmiddels met pensioen zijn. Ze blijven een deel van de brandweer familie. Op mij komt het over als je bent brandweerman voor je hele leven. Heel bijzonder om ieder jaar deze mannen te fotograferen. De discipline zie je ook nog steeds terug.
